The principle of operation of an open-type emitter: it is installed in the center of the room and irradiates the room, air and objects with a relatively powerful ultraviolet glow. All work falls on a UV lamp - it kills the microorganisms of the room with its light. The more powerful the irradiator lamp, the less the sterilization process takes. But during sterilization, there should be no people in the room with such a device. Illuminators with low-power ultraviolet lamps can be used as a lamp.
The principle of operation of a closed-type emitter (recirculator): at one end of the recirculator there is a small fan, it blows a portion of air from the room into the device. The air is in a special container, where it is exposed to an ultraviolet lamp. The walls of the container are made of a special plastic that reflects almost all UV light. The air is exposed to the maximum amount of ultraviolet radiation - 95% of all bacteria, viruses and spores are eliminated from the air stream. After cleaning, a portion of air exits from the other side of the recirculator. At the end of some models, a filter is installed for additional air purification. To begin with, when you take out the lamp during unpacking, wipe it with a dry cloth / rag. It is necessary to handle the UV lamp very carefully - it contains mercury. Insert / remove the lamp from the cartridge only by holding it by the base.

Requirements for the use of a bactericidal emitter Crystal. Irradiator models are different, so the main thing is to always follow the instructions / requirements of the device passport. Among the main safety points when using the irradiator, the following can be distinguished:
- If the ultraviolet lamp is broken, if possible, collect the mercury with a rubber bulb. Avoid contact with mercury with bare hands, use rubber gloves. After collection, you need to rinse the place where the lamp broke. Use a solution of potassium permanganate (1%) and a sponge/rag. All actions are carried out in rubber gloves. Breathing over mercury vapor is also dangerous - if there is no protective mask, cover your mouth and nose with some kind of rag. The main thing you must do is call the rescue service.
- During the operation of the irradiator (open-type device), people, animals or plants should not be in the disinfected room - the glow emitted by the lamp is dangerous for living organisms. People may experience complications or develop malignant pathologies. Animals have a similar situation. Plants with prolonged exposure to such a powerful ultraviolet will simply die.
- Upon completion of the sterilization of the room, the manufacturer recommends ventilating it.
- It is forbidden to repair / replace the UV lamp in the illuminator connected to the power supply.
- Do not use a device with defective wire insulation.
- Recirculators (closed models) can be used even if there are people, animals or plants in the room.
- There is no need to ventilate the premises after using the recirculator.
