Cultivation of dicenters is a simple procedure, which even a beginning gardener can cope with. There was a period when this incredibly beautiful flower, called the "broken heart" in the people, could be found in every garden, on every city flower bed. Description
This plant is appreciated, above all, for its unusual florets. They resemble miniature hearts in an open form, the clusters of which flutter from the summer wind on long peduncles and enchant everyone. The flower of the center or "broken heart" can become a bright accent on any flowerbed. Especially since care of this plant is not difficult.
In nature, there are about 20 species of this magnificent flower, but there are no more than ten cultivated varieties. There are dwarf specimens, not more than 15 cm tall, as well as real giants up to a meter and even more in height.
Main grades:
- Magnificent dicenter. Dissolves his beautiful flowers, collected in racemose inflorescences, in May, but pleases them not for long. The plant reaches a meter in height. The upper and lower part of the sheet plates have different shades.
- Beautiful dicenter. It does not exceed a meter. It has a long flowering period: from early summer to autumn.
- Exclusive (excellent) dicentra. The plant slightly resembles a fern due to leaves of a gray-blue color. Blossoms with hearts of white, pink or dark purple.

Plant preparation and planting
In the natural environment of growth, the dicenter is distributed on the slopes of the Far East, covered with rubble. She does not like an unnecessarily dry climate. On the American continent, there are less demanding climatic conditions.

Before you plant a dicentre in spring or autumn, you must first prepare the soil.For each square meter add 5 kg of humus and dig up.
