A few years ago, I planted juniper and spruce in my summer cottage, but I can't understand why they grow poorly in me. I water regularly, and our winters are not very cold. Maybe they do not have enough food? I use manure in the garden, but I don’t know if it is suitable for my pets. Tell me, what fertilizers can be used for coniferous plants?
Coniferous trees and shrubs are quite unpretentious in care and do not require special nutrition. Evergreen crops do not have the property of shedding leaves, so they do not need additional feedings for recovery. However, a small supply of nutrients is still useful, because the annual growth in conifers is not very active.

Special mineral complex preparations containing magnesium, potassium, phosphorus are most effective for fertilizing coniferous plants.

Organics for conifers - is it possible or not?

Unlike garden crops, which respond well to spreading manure, representatives of the coniferous group do not like it very much. Manure contains a large amount of nitrogen, which provokes the active formation of shoots. Most of them, by the arrival of winter, simply will not have time to mature and die, and the rest may turn yellow from excess nitrogen, which will lead to a loss of decoration.

The exception is rotted compost, it is a bit like natural, forest, soil. In the spring after loosening the near-wellbore circles, they should sprinkle the earth around the coniferous plantations.
