The easiest ways to install an interior door

Most masters who do not have experience installing doors, come across the question: "How to install an already assembled structure?". In order to answer this question, it is necessary to have a general understanding of how the whole procedure should occur, as well as what methods exist for this.

To achieve this goal you will need a small amount of materials and tools:

1. Drill;
2. Level;
3. Screwdriver;
4. Hammer;
5. Self-tapping screws (dowels or anchors - depends on which surface will be screwed into the opening).

The whole process of installing an interior door includes several stages: dismantling the old structure, checking the verticals of the vacant doorway, assembling a new door and fixing it in the opening. Let us consider in more detail the last and most crucial stage.

The main types of door frame fixing

Polyurethane foam

The substance is poured into the cracks between the door structure and the opening. It is recommended to pre-fix individual sections, and after 30 minutes to fill the remaining space. The volume of filling should not exceed 50% of the total. This is due to the property of expansion of the foam, during which its large amount will put too much pressure on the door frame.

The box is fixed by means of wooden wedges, and then the empty space is filled with mounting foam. To maintain the door clearance, it is better to use spacers of small width - up to 3 mm.

Suspensions

The use of suspensions for installation will allow you to firmly and quickly fix the door leaf in a vertical position. This method is implemented according to the following plan:

1. Hanging plates are attached to the door frame;
2. The door structure is installed in the opening;
3. Adjustable level;
4. Places where the suspensions will be attached to the wall are marked;
5. A selection is made under the plate;
6. The door is set;

This method involves plastering the walls at the attachment points in order to hide the screwed suspensions. That is why it is best to use it when the walls have not yet been processed.

The described methods for installing interior doors are among the most common.

To install doors, such methods are often used as: through fastening with anchors and hidden mounting of fasteners under the hinges. It is worth noting that due to their higher complexity, they did not gain much popularity.
