Why the laminate may not snap during installation

Most often, it is found that the laminate lock does not snap and the elements move freely relative to each other. The most common reason is the low quality of the products purchased. Unfortunately, it is impossible to guarantee that a purchase in a store will delight you with a 100% quality laminate. Now the market is flooded with Chinese fakes, in which many non-working locks can be found.

A non-latching laminate indicates that the cut is not at the depth that is needed. In such cases, you can cut the crest in width so that it does not diverge. You can also polish excess grinder. But the most effective way is to replace low-quality products by returning them to the store. To do this is not always easy, so many decide to edit the laminate on their own, but then there is a great risk of spoiling the entire canvas.

 You should not sound the alarm if there are only a couple of defective boards on 20 square meters, but if this figure is an order of magnitude higher, it is worth considering whether to buy something later from the same seller.

If the lock on the laminate does not snap due to the fact that the tile itself is curved, it is better not to even try to fix it, because if not immediately then gaps will appear during operation. Moreover, due to the smallest shifts, neighboring tiles can be damaged. Experienced experts advise returning batches to sellers in which more than a third of the boards have any defects. Even the smallest deviations from the norm during operation guarantee a lot of headache. To be sure of the quality of the products, you need to request a quality certificate on the panel and carefully inspect the batch when purchasing.

When the lock does not snap, many slide the rest of the boards more tightly. The resulting gap leads to an increase in the load on neighboring locks, because of which they can become unusable. In such cases, the only way out is to disassemble the floor and change the defective parts. Attempts to level the floors indiscriminately, pouring concrete or polyurethane foam under the boards, further distort the floor.
