That is, it is imperative to study all the most important points in order to understand whether it is worth using marble as a floor covering, or whether it is better to give preference to some other material.

The main positive qualities include:

  1. High reliability of the product - marble is one of the most dense floor coverings, to which even the most serious mechanical loads will not harm. With a well-prepared surface on which marble is located, the coating will serve an incredible amount and will not lose its original appearance over time;
  2. Wear resistance - abrasion even after a lot of time the marble does not exactly threaten. Everyone knows that natural and high-quality material will wear out for a very long time. In practice, after ten years of operation, the tile loses no more than 0.5 millimeters;

  3. Resistance to high humidity. Even with constant contact with water, the coating will not deteriorate. That is, this material is great for a bathroom, where it will last more than a dozen years;
  4. Beautiful appearance - like any other natural material, this one looks very impressive, especially with proper and regular care. Marble harmonizes with the classics just perfectly, but use in other interiors and trends is not ruled out.

It is also worth talking about the shortcomings of such material:

  1. High cost - no natural material is cheap, marble is no exception;
  2. Tendency to minor damage and scratches. It is not recommended to use abrasive detergents for care in any case, after sharp objects, scratches must appear;
  3. It requires careful and competent care. In order to keep the flooring in good condition, you need to take care of it regularly. Here, one can not do without special grinding layers, wax and other protective coatings. Otherwise, there is a risk that the marble will soon lose its color.
