How to make a gazebo from regular pallets

Each owner wants to do something for the infield with their own hands. So from wooden pallets you can quickly build a simple gazebo that will decorate the landscape.

What do you need

For the gazebo you will need wooden pallets, a primer, stain, polycarbonate, bars, a brush, a grinder and screws.

Such a gazebo can be finished to the taste of the owner, so additional decorative materials are chosen at random.

Features of a makeshift gazebo

The gazebo, built from pallets, has a number of features: the design of the gazebo contains gaps that allow sunlight to pass through, the tree gives a feeling of comfort, the structure is built quickly, it turns out to be airy and open, which is in perfect harmony with by nature.

Before the start of construction, all elements of wooden pallets are carefully sanded, which subsequently protects the master’s hands from splinters, and clothing from puffs. It is best to carry out such work on a grinding machine, which will save a lot of time.

The next step is the application of impregnation, which will protect the tree from insects and premature decay from dampness. Processing should be carried out prior to the staining step. After applying paint for outdoor work or wood stain.

Foundation and frame

The arbor is necessarily located on the foundation, which is selected according to the characteristics of the soil. If the soil is clay, then it is better to make a foundation on piles. Vertical supports are installed on them, and the supporting elements are connected by means of strapping.

You can also use tiles, the elements of which come in different shapes: circle, rhombus, rectangle, honeycomb. Such a coating favorably emphasizes the beauty of wood. You can purchase monochrome or colored tiles.

The most natural and decorative way to protect the roof will be the construction of a thatched roof. Straw passes air well, but retains raindrops.

Dressing

To complete the construction of the gazebo, it is decorated. It consists in painting wooden elements with protective varnishes, which will protect the structure from getting wet.

The walls of the gazebo can be painted with acrylic paints, which are then again covered with a protective layer. In the summer, the arbor can be landscaped with climbing plants, such as ivy.
