Wall decoration technology using stencils
This process consists of several successive steps:
- First prepare the stencil. To do this, choose some kind of drawing, which is transferred to a thick cardboard or plastic. The second option is more preferable, since the cardboard stencil deteriorates quite quickly. The durability of the template is determined by the number of passes on it with paint;
- With a sharp knife or scissors, a stencil drawing is cut out. Small fragments of the picture strengthen, otherwise they may diverge from the frequent use of the template. Adhesive tape is ideal for this;
- Regardless of the direction in which the drawing will be placed, straight lines are pre-drawn with chalk on the wall. Guided by them, tape fix the stencil, and then proceed to painting. Small elements are best created with a separately prepared stencil;
- Large fragments of the picture are stained with a roller, and small fragments are painted with a brush. Before each application of paint, the tools are wrung out, which will allow you to get a smooth, without sagging ornament. If a bright and saturated color is required, then all subsequent layers after the first layer are applied immediately, that is, one after another without interruption;
- When one section of the drawing is ready, the stencil is transferred further along the line. Stencils for small elements are glued only when large fragments of the pattern are completely ready. In order to avoid blurring the picture, he is allowed to dry, after which they continue to decorate the wall.
