And how suitable is this style for the apartment? According to experienced designers, this style can be safely created in all rooms and premises, both in an apartment and in a large house. But do not be too zealous, because too big a roll in this direction will become less comfortable, although it will give a crazy and unique exotic.

Primary colors

What is the African continent associated with? First of all, with the largest desert on earth. Therefore, very often it is the sand color that becomes the basis of the whole style. But this is not the only shade that needs to be emphasized, creating such an interesting interior.

Africa is a fairly bright continent. Due to its climate, which does not know what a real winter is, the hottest shades are always present in the interiors, which are rightfully red, orange and yellow. It is these three colors that dictate their will here along with sand, which combines several shades of all these colors at once.

As you know, the African continent is called black. Therefore, this color can also be seen in interiors made in the African style. But unlike the main colors, black will be just a small addition, as if it emphasizes the foundations of this style.

Preferred materials

In order to finish the room in an African style, it is necessary to use only natural materials, among which clay, wood and leather occupy a special place. But the latter is not so widespread as building and finishing materials, but wood and clay are of great importance and application.

Wood is the main material in many styles that should not surprise anyone. This material can be called the basis of all the foundations, since the tree will always refer to the symbols of life and development. In addition, this material allows you to make a large number of items that can be used in everyday life.

Ceramics can be called an analogue and a substitute for clay, which should be used as a finishing material in the bathroom and toilet. The tile, which is put on the walls and floor, should resemble a stone, that is, in its coloring elements of this natural material should be present. But a stone can only be with a sandy tint, and the tile itself will invariably only be dull, on which no shine and gloss can be seen.

Walls: from desert drought to animal skins

The main element in the African style are the walls. It is on them that you need to focus your creativity. How to create the necessary look that can be attributed to this style? Make a real desert on the wall!

Cracked earth is what should be present on the walls of the room. This can be done using the wallpaper, which will be applied to the corresponding figure. Particularly interesting will look embossed wallpaper, which will imitate the cracked earth. But the earth is not the only thing that can be depicted on the walls. Imitation of animal skins hanging on the walls, perfectly fit into this interior.

The main feature of the African-style wall decoration will be the creation of a decorative wall that will resemble a small exhibition. And you can put on it paintings depicting the life of an ancient person, elements of cave painting or African ceramics and masks. Having a similar exhibition in the room, you can present it to guests who, not without interest, will consider this exotic.

The most correct African-style floor is stone. But using a real stone is not necessary. It can be completely replaced by ordinary tiles that mimic natural stone.

To make the floor look even more stylish, it is worth laying a small mat on it, which will give the whole room a special touch.

This option will become more comfortable than leaving only one stone. For flooring, you can use wood. Perfectly fit the floor, consisting of a parquet board, but with a matte finish. Laying the board should resemble the deck of a ship to emphasize that the continent is washed by the seas.
