Today, the kitchen appliance market offers many cooker options. Models differ in design, technical characteristics, small details and features. Despite the variety of models, there are only 2 main types: gas and electric stove made of glass ceramics or other material. Separately, it is possible to distinguish a combined one (it works both from gas and electricity).

A glass ceramic cooker is gaining more and more popularity. The smooth surface integrated in the countertop captivates with its stylish design. All the disadvantages of old models of electric stoves are eliminated, and we get a technological and safe device for preparing your favorite dishes.

The main features of glass-ceramic plates

The main feature is that the electroceramic plate, more precisely its surface, has high thermal conductivity. The material perfectly transmits heat in an upright position and practically does not spread it horizontally. That is why, during the incandescence of tubular electric heaters, the temperature rises strictly on the upper surface.

When compared with conventional enameled, the electric stove with a ceramic surface has a wider functionality and automated control. The design of this technique is like no other suitable for modern kitchen - minimalist, compact, stylish. The owners say with confidence that this is the most convenient stove to date. After all, there is a significant advantage: the choice of temperature and further control over it. This allows you to cook the most sophisticated and sophisticated dishes. The main thing is to choose the right dishes. This can be distinguished as a small drawback - the glass ceramic surface is demanding on the dishes that are placed on it.

The stove heats up quickly and cools quickly. A few minutes after turning it off, you can touch it freely and do not burn yourself.

Criterias of choice

To choose the most suitable option, it will not be superfluous to familiarize yourself with important criteria. Let's consider each of them in order.

  1. The very first thing you have to decide is the size of the ceramic stove. The decision in favor of large and compact format equipment should come from the area of the room and the requirements for the convenience of personal use. Definitely, a small stove in a large kitchen will look ridiculous and strange, and a huge unit in a cramped room will bring a lot of inconvenience.
  2. It is necessary to decide whether it will be a built-in electric cooker made of glass-ceramic or a separately located apparatus.
  3. Also decide - kitchen electric stoves with a glass ceramic oven or stove and oven will stand separately. Here, the area size factor also works.
  4. Choose a color for the new appliances that will fit into the interior of the kitchen. It is not practical to buy a white plate in the interior in the Baroque style. There are several colors depending on the manufacturer: black, brown, beige, etc.
  5. The next step is to determine the optimal power, quantity (two-burner, three-burner ...) and the location of the burners. It is worth noting that the power of glass-ceramic plates is noticeable above other types. The reason for this is induction hobs.
  6. The sixth paragraph is completely individual. It’s not difficult to buy an apparatus - the choice is wide. But will it be comfortable to control such a device. Here you should choose - saving or comfort. Nevertheless, you can always find the "average" option.

Different types of burners

In modern e-mail. there are only 3 burner groups made of glass ceramics: halogen, induction, rapid. Halogen are heated by halogen lamps. Rapid are a heating spiral.

Induction rings become hot due to the electromagnetic field acting on them. This type is the most popular at the moment. One caveat - induction hobs requires the use of special dishes with a magnetized bottom. The downside of this type is that induction is expensive, but the cost of energy consumption is reduced. A big plus - products are heated as quickly as possible.

Burners are also classified by the material from which they are made. The first material is enameled steel. It is inexpensive, it lends itself well to washing. A little more expensive are the burners made of metal steel. They are more durable and better cleaned of dirt. The last, most expensive material is aluminum alloy. If finances allow, then it’s more correct to dwell on the choice of this material. It has the longest life, it heats up as quickly as possible. It does not show scratches or darken.

Another separating factor is the single-circuit and double-circuit burners. The second type is able to "adapt" to any pan / pan, regardless of size.

Burners with an oval heating zone on the side are considered quite unusual for us. By clicking on a specific button, this zone starts to heat up. This option is ideal for elongated bowlers, ducklings, etc.

Burner control features

Hot plates can be controlled in 2 ways. The first is standard, using the rotary switches that are located on the front side of the equipment. The second way is with the touch panel. It is located directly on the work surface. They do not heat up, so that you can safely use them with the stove turned on.

Booster control option has become very attractive for customers. Most of the latest models are equipped with it. Its essence lies in the fact that the power of one burner can be increased due to the rest. How does she work? For example, you set to warm water, the booster function was activated. After the water has boiled, the sensor, synchronized with the power of the timer, gives a signal to “reduce fire”. Agree, a very convenient addition, which is worth paying attention to when choosing.

Oven

If a conventional electric stove almost always has an oven, the built-in electric ceramic cooker may not include an oven in its design. Typically, stoves are equipped with standard electric ovens with a capacity of 50-80 liters. Backlight, as a rule, is always present. Sometimes under the oven there is a special drawer for dishes.

Special Cookware

First, let's determine the dishes that can not use:

  • dishes with an aluminum bottom;
  • dishes with a copper bottom.

To prepare your favorite dishes, choose the following dishes:

  • enameled dishes (do not heat up when it is empty);
  • thick stainless steel cookware is ideal.

Comfortable use consists not only in the material of the cooking container, but also in the size of this container. We put large dishes on a large burner, and small dishes on a smaller burner.

Most Popular Models

Below is a list of the most popular models of glass-ceramic plates in Moscow.

  1. Electrolux CEN 52300 OV.
  2. Hans FSSI 58236060.
  3. Indesit KN 6S107
  4. Hotpoint-Eriston SE 6V M3.
  5. Bosch SHSE 744350R.
  6. Beko TsS 47100.
  7. Gorenge EC 55320 RBD.
  8. Samsung STR163N027

Despite all the advantages of electric stoves, they have minor disadvantages: the difficulty of installing built-in stoves, special cleaning products, a narrow range of dishes used. You could even say that these are just temporary difficulties. Once you get used to the new technique, you will no longer want to return to other types of plates.
