White kitchen 12 sq. m. with a bar counter and a painted wall

12 square meters for a kitchen is a lot. In our three-room apartment, we completed the repair a little more than two years ago, the work dragged on for a very long time. This is mainly due to the fact that in order to save money, we did most of the repairs on our own. To be honest, we would have tightened it even more, but were forced to move quickly due to health problems at the daughter.

Search for an idea

At first, the kitchen seemed simply chic to me, after a small room where we lived before. The history of our repair began, like many, with a drawing. We spent a lot of time deciding on the interior of the future apartment, looking for options in magazines and the Internet, watching thematic programs and looking for ideas from friends.

Once, the gaze stopped at a project with painted walls, which depict large leaves. And at that moment I realized that this is exactly what we are looking for!

Plan implementation

Not one day was spent on finding the optimal color for the project - clean, bright. We settled on a gray shade that should ideally look against a white sheet in different lighting options. But when implementing the idea, it became clear that this color still looks like gray-blue, and we reconciled.

Gorgeous turquoise leaves on the wall were painted by my husband's sister, we are very grateful to her for this. It turned out beautifully, stylishly and brightly. Against this background, there was no question to choose the bright colors of the headset facades. Therefore, we settled on white furniture. Oddly enough, this is the best option for housewife pigs. White color is practical and easy to care for, you want, you don’t want, but the dirt is visible well, and you have to clean it regularly.

I’m not a fan of constantly cleaning up, so we installed integrated handles on the facades. Do not have to constantly clean small parts. Despite the relatively small area, our family was not going to refuse the bar counter. We constantly use it as an additional workspace and for a quick morning meal.

We really like the kitchen set for its beauty and ease of use, we purchased it at the Grodno factory. The upper tier of cabinets with folding lifts, and the hinged doors of the lower facades are equipped with closers. There are drawers and a tandembox.

Black accents were made using household appliances. We received the sink as a gift in the cabin; we bought only a single mixer in the style of a similar company. The oven and hob from the company Hephaestus purchased through the Internet.

We did not spend money on branded items, the stove consists entirely of high-quality components, equipped with a timer. The oven has touch controls, grill and convection functions, all we need. And the price for this is quite reasonable.

Along with the built-in appliances, a built-in range hood has also been purchased, this makes cleaning the kitchen easier. It is hidden in a cabinet, and dust and soot do not accumulate on the surface. We got a dishwasher according to the action, and the refrigerator moved with us from the old apartment.

A slight hitch arose when buying bar stools. We have a small rack height. It is located at the level of countertops, so choosing chairs in height proved to be problematic. The adjustable items were all on chromed legs, but they did not fit into the interior, and the classic chairs were too high.

Therefore, I had to do them according to my own design, my husband and father-in-law “cooked” the base, and I painted them black. Spouse cut out the seats from ash, it turned out original and stylish. Similarly, we created a dining table. It’s good when men have golden hands.

The husband constantly makes something for the kitchen - trays, drawers, planks. All these little things, made by yourself, create a unique atmosphere of warmth and coziness in the room.

Of course, our repair can not be called completely perfect. We made several mistakes, firstly, choosing the color of furniture only on the basis of practicality. We didn’t think that the variety of white would look somewhat inappropriate, and we didn’t exactly choose the technique according to the shades. But over time, they got used to it and began to find their charm in it.

A curious moment came out with chairs, the husband said to take two chairs, to try whether they would be comfortable. When we went to buy the rest, it turned out that there were no more white products. So in our kitchen appeared a variety of chairs, black and white.

When buying tiles in the salon, she looked dazzling white against the background of other products. But after she laid out a working apron, a beige shade suddenly appeared. Apparently, it depends on the lighting. But on the floor they picked up just the perfect option, no pollution is visible on the tile.

I was convinced that it was necessary to finish everything at once. Otherwise, everything temporary will remain constant, like our lonely light bulb above the table. We never picked up the lamp. But these little things do not spoil the overall impression of the kitchen!

The total estimate was more than 300.0 thousand rubles. The kitchen set was the most expensive; we spent almost 140.0 thousand rubles on it. Household appliances cost about 110.0 thousand rubles. The kitchen turned out cozy and homely, full of peace and romance. Unusual things give her personality and charm. It is an ideal place to do business and receive guests.
