Before starting the repair, we studied a lot of different ideas, read reviews about the styles of the interior. Finally we decided to arrange the kitchen ourselves. Our room is small, I would say standard, like most families with standard apartments.

Its area is a little more than 7 m². In a limited space, it makes no sense to create something unusual, so we chose the design as simple as possible. The main highlight was the color.

In my opinion, the kitchen should have a well-designed working area, a spacious dining group and a refrigerator. Materials were chosen that are easy to wash even with severe contamination.

I did not want to spend a lot of time on maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. And finally, the functionality and practicality has not been canceled. This place is primarily for cooking. It should be convenient for me to cook.

The idea to make repairs in the kitchen came spontaneously, we did not plan the costs. Therefore, we didn’t have to talk about long periods; we very successfully purchased finishing materials in just one day. To be more precise, we stocked up in just 3-4 hours, just packed in time before the closure of the construction store.

The dinner group was left the same. Since the color of the chairs is bright and catchy, naturally there was a desire to maintain orange in the rest of the furniture. The facades of the headset also made a juicy orange color. It so happened that the orange color itself turned out to be the main one.

The east side has its advantages. In the room the sun is only in the morning, and we like it. Therefore, we decided to make light calm walls.

The most difficult task was to pick up the tiles on the working apron and the floor. We wished to order a kit. But the store had only leftovers that were missing. We were also offered such material that I already painted myself bleak pictures of how I wipe dirt and grease from it round the clock, armed with brushes and chemicals.

Repair was helped by a friend who jokingly led me to a stand with porcelain stoneware. Of course, this material is more suitable for flooring. But running a palm over the surface, I realized that this is exactly what you need! We quickly bought the right volume, the tile is just perfect in color, texture and size. The rest of the materials bought quickly.

In the kitchen, the most important thing is to make good electrical wiring, install switches and a sufficient number of outlets in convenient places. We lived for a long time with sagging wires and extension cords, so we decided to build everything as it should.

A friend suggested we make a separate outlet for the refrigerator, bring it to your toggle switch. We have never regretted this idea. Leaving for a long time, we calmly turn off all electrical appliances in the house, except for the refrigerator.

The designer helped us to choose a kitchen set. The main catch was that one of the walls was completely occupied by the dining group. Along the opposite wall decided to put a headset. The refrigerator blended into the far corner by the window.

There were no questions where to put this graceful black unit. It was impossible to leave him near the entrance. Otherwise, our long dark corridor would look like a tunnel. Yes, the ventilation niche pretty much interfered. And in the corner the refrigerator looks in its place.

There were many sockets, all household appliances are connected without problems. The location is convenient. We thought for a long time where to identify the microwave. Finally, a place for her was found in the lower cabinet.

The cargo system fit into the space between the refrigerator and the hob, the width is only 20 cm, but it was very convenient to use this place. The cabinet along the short wall was already 10 cm wide. The difference is felt, but this made it possible to use the sink more conveniently. And the place was saved.

The color of the facades of the small cabinet is silver, the remaining facades are orange. The fact is that a bright color could visually reduce the space, and a large number of it in a small room is undesirable. And I didn’t want to draw borders, the silver cabinet looks very organic.

Storage cabinets are equipped with gas lifts, and the doors of the corner cabinet open with an accordion. The lower section contains drawers that extend along the rails, and in the cabinet under the microwave oven metabox. Top hinged doors.

The light gray sink made of artificial stone looks harmonious with a similar color with a mixer equipped with a pull-out spout. It is convenient to use, I did not regret that we bought this particular option. Although at first I doubted whether it was worth spending money on such equipment.

We got a hood-slider as a gift. A built-in oven and hob purchased in a neighboring country. This has proven to be more economical. However, it was useful to just unwind, be distracted, and change the situation.

The ceiling surface is leveled and painted. Corners decorated with skirting boards. Vinyl wallpapers were glued on the walls in a pleasant light tone; the shade is organically combined with the color of the floor tiles.

After the arrival and installation of the kitchen set, we had only one little thing - to add a little home warmth to the interior. Above the work surface they made a backlight from an LED strip.

Our good friend, who is engaged in lighting design, made a proposal to install a switch that responds to hand movements. A very creative and insanely convenient option for the kitchen, because often you need to turn on the light, and your hands are busy or wet.

I had a lot to go shopping with electrical goods in search of a suitable lamp. As a result, we bought an elegant and stylish four-arm chandelier, which harmoniously blended into the interior in size, shape and color. The advantages of its use include the ability to change the direction of the light, just turn the horns.

Rolshtora is the best option for a kitchen with windows facing east. Natural light should penetrate to the maximum, so I immediately refused the usual curtains. Even when closed, blinds transmit diffused light. Another reason I don’t accept textiles in the kitchen is that it gets dirty quickly.

The exception is the dining area. Here you can not do without a beautiful tablecloth and napkins. This is my only weakness, gray linen is very organically combined with orange napkins, collecting the interior together, giving it wholeness. In other cases, I think the fabric is absolutely impractical material in everyday life, especially in the kitchen.

We did not pursue unusual solutions, so the total estimate for repairs amounted to a little less than 200.0 thousand rubles. Of these, 120.0 thousand rubles were spent on headsets, and kitchen devices cost 35.0 thousand rubles.

Six months have passed since the repair was completed in the kitchen, and I can say with confidence that we got exactly what we dreamed about. The room is comfortable, practical, functional, small dimensions - not a reason to give up your desires at all. Moreover, in comfortable conditions I want to do something.

She noticed that even my husband more often began to help me with cooking, although earlier I was not at all interested in this issue. And I slowly master new recipes, and even tried to make homemade cakes. It's great!
