Warm corner kitchen made of MDF with a German mood

Having decided to start the repair, we learned a lot of interesting solutions. We began the arrangement of the kitchen for the new year. The main obstacle was that the footage of this room in a one-room apartment is more than modest, and we wanted a cozy and comfortable kitchen where we could gather in the evening for talking and relaxing.

On seven squares you will not especially turn around. Therefore, we immediately abandoned a pile of furniture and excess decor. We dreamed that the room was not just comfortable, but also contained its own special atmosphere, a twist.

To make it immediately clear - this is our favorite cuisine. We carried out all the work ourselves, each centimeter of space is made with love. We had to turn to specialists only on two issues - to transfer the gas pipe and replace the window.

The most expensive investment is a kitchen. The corner option is the best choice in such a small room. But this we have not yet encountered other problems, the solution of which we had to spend a lot of time, effort and money.

They refused plastic facades right away, they look cheap and do not last long. In addition, the plastic I steadily evoked memories of Soviet furniture. And we could not afford a solid kitchen. Therefore, we settled on the Belarusian frame headset from MDF.

We turned to three furniture manufacturing companies until we realized what we wanted to receive, and how much we could spend on it. The option offered in the last company came up to us in price and quality.

True, we showed a mistake, and did not take into account the passing pipe at the window, as a result, the refrigerator almost got into the designated place. The gas pipe had to be transferred, for which permission was received in Mingaz. The work was carried out by their specialists, and notes on all changes were entered in the passport.

Save on the headset allowed the action, we received the countertop as a gift. The wall was left free. It’s convenient, of course, when devices hang at hand, but we do not use them so often. And they create a sense of clutter, attract attention.

To facilitate the upper tier, we were helped by the lattices on the doors. They refused the glass, but the drawer with a dishwasher with a grill came in handy. The top of the kitchen is framed by a baguette, which gives it completeness. This item came out expensive, but it's worth the money. The door under the sink with convenient hinges that allow you to open it 120 degrees.

Sockets were planned taking into account the use of all equipment, even those household gadgets that we have not yet purchased. We determined the location of the hob and refrigerator, oven and microwave oven, multicooker and food processor, as well as a TV and backlight.

Choosing decoration materials for the kitchen, I realized one thing. Given the lighting, the colors look completely different on the spot. Therefore, we did not begin to pick up anything special; the ceiling was painted white. The hood was hidden in a box of drywall.

A wallpaper depicting Bavaria was pasted onto a loose wall. The German accent made its unusual adjustments, the atmosphere in the room is very warm, kind. It is especially nice to spend evenings in romantic light.

The rest of the walls were pasted with wallpaper with a mat texture, purchased them in Minsk. They harmoniously combine with the tiles and facades of the headset.

The best option for decorating the wall next to the gas hob is a tile. Wall panels and skins do not always withstand such a neighborhood. We decided not to risk it, and the areas next to the hood were also decorated with tiles. The design was selected in accordance with the countertops and facades, so that the wall did not differ much in texture.

Italian ceramic tiles look perfect, it does not even require additional decor. The optimal size of 12 * 18 cm made it possible to lay out the elements with a ladder, smooth transitions are not striking. My husband did this on his own.

We should also talk about buying outlets. In the construction market, there is a lot of choice, and we managed to get budget outlets to places where they will be hidden. The remaining elements were chosen expensive, decorated with plastic frames of the same color with wallpaper and tile.

In addition to the LED illumination of the working area, we hung a chandelier, laid the floor with Belgian linoleum with a wood look. Despite the fact that this is not a natural material, the surface is pleasant to the touch, you can walk on it barefoot.

The hood hood color is consistent with the color of the refrigerator, the washing area texture is also close to household appliances. We managed to buy the hood with a big discount, the seller gave in well because there was a barely noticeable dent in the dome. In general, it can be considered only if you look from top to bottom, so this defect is absolutely not critical.

Pleasant color accents in soft lilac-violet tones complement the interior. A comfortable sofa, ceramic containers for spices, a dispenser and a flower pot, a napkin holder presented by a colleague combine the space and add a pleasant romantic touch to it.

We bought a direct sofa, for our small kitchen this is the best option. Corner takes up too much space. The niche in the sofa is also used effectively; it is convenient to store winter supplies and empty cans there.

For a long time they could not decide which table to buy. As a result, we chose a sliding model, MDF worktop, and wooden legs. When guests come to us, there is enough space for everyone.

Our refrigerator is almost new, bought it in advance. So far, the agenda has remained the issues of replacing the slab and decorating the window opening. Chairs and poufs have not yet been bought, but even with these imperfections the kitchen looks very cozy.

The budget for repairs amounted to about 200.0 thousand rubles, we spent money on the purchase of building materials, furniture, partially purchased household appliances, replaced the window and moved the pipes.

Thanks to the wall with photo wallpaper, the room looks more voluminous and spacious. Despite the fact that natural light is not enough, a warm color scheme solves this issue. I believe that we have done everything possible to create a comfortable, cozy and practical environment on 7 square meters!
