It was required to carry out major repairs of Khrushchev in just a month and a half. At first glance, it might seem that this is impossible. But there was no other choice, so work was begun.

It takes about two months to make a kitchen. Simultaneously with the beginning of the repair, the search for suitable furniture was started.

The area of ​​the premises was about six square meters. At the same time, the owners did not like the wall cabinets. It was necessary to find a place for the dishwasher, to provide a place for a slate, and not to install the table.

It was decided not to connect the room and the kitchen. This would delay the timing of the work. The kitchen had to be made uncluttered, cozy, stylish and always pleasant.

The difficulty was that at the time of the measurement, the old walls and floor were not dismantled. Countertop, simultaneously performing the role of the table, was made under the windowsill. In this case, the deviation should not exceed 30 mm. And one more nuance - the oven of standard width did not fit. Narrow models were too expensive. This significantly limited the choice and created a number of inconveniences.

The owners dreamed about white kitchen, since this option gives comfort, impresses with its special style and pleases with freshness. The apartment is made in pastel colors with a predominance of white.

Work was started: the floor and walls were dismantled, the gas meter was moved, an electrician, ceiling, pipes and lighting were installed. It is important that by the time the furniture is assembled, a sink, equipment, and access to a mandatory exhaust hood are installed.

It was required to find a suitable tile for the walls. Snow-white options of a rectangular shape with a matte surface are a true rarity. Today, gloss is mainly offered, as it is relevant. Searches continued until the necessary invoice was found. But the shape of the tile was square. There was a need to make adjustments to the project. The result was impressive. At the same time, it was possible to save significantly.

There were no difficulties with gender. Its color was known in advance. It was decided to use porcelain stoneware, as it is durable and resistant to wear. Stretch ceiling are provided throughout the apartment. Their installation was carried out at a high professional level. Three lamps were chosen for lighting the kitchen, a chandelier was placed in the room.

The owners already had a dishwasher. They purchased the rest of the equipment on the Internet. All equipment was promptly delivered and inspected. It was necessary to purchase a refrigerator, which did not exceed 55 cm in width and 60 cm in depth. A wide hood (90 cm) was preferred. The technique of black and white tones was used to create a certain contrast. The faucet and sink has launched a brand you can trust. Chairs were also purchased.

It remains to wait until the installation is completed. The kitchen was delivered a little ahead of schedule, since by that time it had already been made. Installation work took one day. The perfect result pleased.

At the end of the repair, chores began. It was necessary to put things in their places, to create coziness. Now it was possible to enjoy the new space, which the owners liked 100%.

In order to repair the kitchen, the owners turned to the designer. It was the right choice. The small room became very bright, visually expanded and impressed with special ergonomics. In order to save space, the windowsill is often replaced with a countertop. It was this technique that was involved. This option is good, but there is one “but”.

According to the rules for operating PVC windows, it is important that the battery heats the window unit. That is why it is impossible for the window sill to overlap the battery. Do not install a protective screen on the radiator. This will become an obstacle to the circulation of heated air. Condensation and unwanted mold are likely. If the window is made of plastic, and the windowsill is wooden, it is necessary to lubricate the place of their joint with acrylic or silicone sealant.

If it is impossible to decorate the window with curtains, it is worth using shutters. In this case, you should pay attention to the slopes. They should be made from a sandwich panel. Additional protection of the window unit against mold and drafts is guaranteed. This solution is practical: painting is not required, and dirt is easily removed with a damp cloth. Moreover, this solution looks very nice. It is no coincidence that many today are actively using this technique.
