On domestic TV models, in order to activate the described function, it is necessary to do a number of actions:

• using the remote control, enable access to teletext by pressing the "TXT" or "TTX" button on it;
• in the menu that opens, dial 888 and confirm this value;

In newer TV models, it is required to enable the option “Show additional controls” with the central button on the remote control. In it, select “subtitles”, where they can be edited, if desired. Choose a language (if necessary, it is indicated by numbers, according to the order of the language), the size and color of the characters.

The quality of the signal largely depends on whether subtitle detection and recognition will occur. Therefore, with poor reception quality, there may be no signal of text information. In this case, it is necessary, if possible, to amplify the signal.
