With the development of digital technology, every person at home now, as a rule, has at least one gadget, and often their number can reach a huge number: smartphones, tablets, players, smart watches and much another. Unfortunately, the topic of wireless charging is still poorly distributed, so a wired charger is attached to each electronics.
The latter, alas, are not very durable and often fail. And given that most manufacturers now produce tablets and phones with the same connector (usually it's microUSB), at such a moment the question arises sharply: is it possible to charge one gadget using a charger another? The answer to it is ambiguous: yes and no.
Is it harmful to charge the tablet with phone charging
It is technically possible to charge the tablet with a charge from the phone. But sometimes you can make exceptions, for example, in such situations:
- Unexpected breakdown of the native charger;
- A short trip, in which you need to take several gadgets at once, but every place is valuable in your luggage.
Important! Do not constantly sit down and charge everything with one wire. This method is suitable only several times when it is urgently needed.
The fact is that the battery on the tablet is larger and more powerful than the phone. Accordingly, usually its charger provides a current strength of approximately two times more than that of ordinary smartphones. Therefore, when charging a tablet using a wire from the phone, the following disadvantages are observed:
- a slower battery charge than a native device;
- while working on the tablet while it is connected to a power supply, a short circuit may occur that will render the charger unusable.
The current strength of the charger must be indicated on it itself: usually for a phone it is 1 A, and for a tablet - 2.1 A. Fortunately, modern manufacturers took this problem into account and, in order to solve it, began to produce smart charges for all gadgets with the same current strength - more than 2 A. They are able to independently evaluate how to safely and quickly charge the connected device.
Important! This function is far from having all the charges, so before using it is necessary to read the instructions for each newly acquired gadget.
