The grinder is a tool that every zealous owner will surely find in stock. However, not everything is simple with this equipment. The device easily cuts through metal, but is completely unsuitable for sawing wood. Moreover, even special discs that are sold in the store will not be salvation. They are very dangerous and can cost the master his life.

Is it possible to cut wood with a grinder

Experts unequivocally answer the question - no, this is absolutely impossible to do. The material is too uneven. It is soft at first, but can easily be replaced by a thick knot. Once on it, the disc will not scatter, as a circle on metal would do.

The attachment will lead, tearing the tool out of the hands of the master. A dangerous condition, considering that the circle at this moment continues to spin at a tremendous speed.

The main direction of the device is cutting something. Usually these are metal pipes, corners and profiles, as well as ceramic tiles or plastic panels. Wood is usually not included in the list of materials processed by angle grinders, although there is a special disk in stores for this task.
