Preparing for installation

You need to start preparing by determining the cardinal points with a compass and choosing the optimal location of the equipment. It should be borne in mind that placing a plate on the roof most often leads to its theft. To install it on the facade, documentary permission may be required, therefore, this issue should be resolved in advance with the managing organization, otherwise problems may arise.

Installation algorithm:

1. Assembling the antenna. This process is not difficult if you follow the instructions that come with the equipment.
2. Fixing the bracket according to surface materials and natural stress.
3. Fastening the convectors with a special holder. The connectors must point downward to prevent rain and snow from falling in.
4. Cable connection of the convector and the receiver using F-connectors. In this case, you should leave the wire with a margin near the plate.
5. Fastening the cable to the holder.
6. Treatment of connectors with sealant or silicone.
7. Fixing the antenna to the bracket so that it can be moved horizontally and vertically.

To prepare the cable, you need to connect it to the F-connector. This is done with pliers and a knife. Experts recommend adhering to a special algorithm for the correct connection:

1. Using a knife, remove the outer insulation from the cable at a distance of 1.5 cm.
2. The braid is straightened and bent over the cable.
3. Remove the foil at the base of the fold.
4. Get rid of internal insulation at a distance of 1 cm. The copper core should be exposed.
5. Remove the protective enamel with a knife.
6. The connector is screwed onto the cable until it stops. It is important that the core protrudes by a maximum of 0.3 cm.
7. The excess braiding is removed.

The cable is ready for use. It's time to set up a satellite dish. This is the most important step of all. It requires responsibility and care.

Equipment setup

On the receiver, the speed is 27500 and the frequency is 11766. Polarization should be "H". The receiver has 2 stripes: red and yellow. The first shows that the dish is connected, and the second shows the signal level. With a properly connected antenna, it should reach 40%.

How to set up a satellite dish yourself:

1. The initial position is set all the way up and to the left.
2. Slowly begin to turn from left to right, controlling the signal level. If it is absent, then the antenna is lowered by 3 mm and turned from right to left. The procedure must be carried out until a yellow stripe appears on the receiver.
3. There are numbers on the plate fasteners. They help control her tilt.
4. The work needs to be done together, because monitoring the signal quality and moving the dish alone is unrealistic.
5. The satellite dish is fixed as soon as the yellow bar shows 21%.
6. The equipment is rotated first clockwise, and then vice versa. When the receiver shows a signal at 65-70%, you should stop.
7. After setting the plate, it is time to adjust the side convectors.
8. It remains to go to the set-top box menu and select the necessary TV programs.
