Wiring the device

- connect not through the wiring of the lighting network, but make a re-connection in the junction box;

You need to fix the device firmly enough, but with the tolerance of subsequent orientation in space. Just before connecting, you need to remove the back cover and familiarize yourself with the diagram. Such sensors require both phase and neutral cables.
There is a terminal block inside the device, on which the contacts are indicated:
- L - phase cable black or brown;
- N - blue neutral wire;
- A - phase return to the lamp (red).
If there is a yellow-green wire, then it denotes a protective earth. The connection itself is made between cable A and N, but power is supplied to L and N, while the phase must be observed.
Checking and adjusting
You can check the performance of the motion sensor by connecting to a temporary circuit even before the device is installed in a permanent place. Especially if the structure is not equipped with a regulator. If the installation does not work, then the reason may lie in the incorrect installation. More complex models also need to be checked for serviceability. This is done as follows: after connecting to the electrical network, it is necessary to set the dimmer to the maximum, and the timer, on the contrary, to the minimum.
If the design includes an indicator LED, then no special manipulations should be made. The working device will turn on instantly when driving. If an electromagnetic relay acts as a switch, then specific clicking sounds will also indicate its serviceability.
After checking for operability, it is necessary to adjust the motion sensor for lighting. In each separate room and room, you need to set individual parameters. Most often, the first setting is temporary, and subsequently the tenants determine the optimal values.
The timer is usually set in the range from one minute to ten. But the light sensitivity threshold can be adjusted only on those devices that are equipped with a special sensor. It is he who is able to determine the brightness of daylight, after which the device is disconnected from the electrical network. The most difficult setting is for a sensitive sensor, since the sensor must respond specifically to a person, and not to pets.
