• Class No. 5 includes wires with a thickness of 0.03 to 625 mm².
• No. 6 - the most flexible, total area of ​​conductors from 0.03 to 300 mm², the maximum diameter of each wire is from 0.06 to 0.4.

Different materials are used in products of different classes. Aluminum wires are not as flexible as copper wires, so they are only used in the first three grades.

Flexibility can also be roughly divided into the following categories:

• normal - 1 class;
• increased - 2-4 cells;
• high - 5-6 cells.

Depending on the scope of application of stranded wires, they are made with different levels of strength, conductivity and resistance.

Varieties of wires

There are several types of cables depending on the destination. Accordingly, their characteristics will differ significantly. It:

Power brands

Power cables include the most popular products such as VVG, KGVV and KOG. The first is a flexible copper cable made up of many conductors. It is equipped with PVC material insulation and is usually used for wiring in various rooms. This product has performed well in a wide variety of environments, such as high humidity or explosive atmospheres. Due to its multicore, VVG has increased flexibility, which allows it to be used in hard-to-reach places that require bending of the wire.

KGVV - control flexible stranded copper cable. Has models with increased and high levels of flexibility, capable of withstanding 100 flexion / extension cycles. Used successfully in management and power circuits.

The multicore cable of special flexibility KOG has a rubber insulating coating, its cores belong to the 5th class and are capable of withstanding 10-12 thous. bending cycles with a radius of up to 55 mm. Most often, this cable is used to connect welding installations - both automatic and semi-automatic. Not afraid of the influence of solar ultraviolet radiation and high humidity.

Mounting and transmitting information

Among the wires, the most common brands are PBPP (PUNP) and PBPPg (PUGNP). They are called installation, or in another way - installation.

BPP (PUNP) has a flat cross-section, includes two to three single-wire copper conductors with PVC insulation. Wires of this brand are used in the installation of lighting devices, as well as sockets and switches. The minimum bending radius is about ten wire diameters.

As a variety PUNP there is a wire with conductors made of aluminum wire - APUNP. Its flexibility is slightly less due to the characteristics of the material, otherwise the characteristics do not differ from PUNP.

PBPPg (PUGNP) - copper flexible insulated stranded wire, characterized by stranded conductors, and therefore flexibility, as evidenced by the letter G in the designation. Bending radius - not less than 6. Other parameters are the same as the previous version. PUGNP exists only in the copper version.

Cables for information transmission include such brands that are capable of transmitting not only electricity, but also energy information signals. These are all kinds of antennas - RG-59, RG-6,RG-58and also series RC 75; computer twisted pairs, through which computers are connected to each other and the Internet; wires for conducting a telephone line.

Decorative and special

As for the LED and electroluminescent wires, they are used as power wires, also performing decorative functions. There is also a practical side to using these wires - if damaged, a break will be immediately visible, since the LEDs in this place will stop burning.
