Purpose of the device
Push-button posts are necessary for remote control of many types of devices and various kinds of devices with electric motors. Most often they are used for systems in three-phase motors of asynchronous and synchronous action.
Working with a push-button device, the operator has the ability to freely control the mechanisms and adjust, if necessary, their work, without leaving his workplace. Usually remote devices are located on the common panel of the work station. This allows you not to approach equipment, but to control devices from a distance.
All push-button posts are located on one panel and are united by a single remote control. However, such designs are not designed for working contacts in high voltage circuits. Their main purpose is to operate power grids with a frequency of 50 and 60 MHz and a voltage of up to 600 volts of alternating and direct current with a parameter of up to 400 volts.
Button station device
Any push-button control stations are quite simple in terms of design. They include a minimum set of parts, but this does not prevent them from performing their most important function - issue a command and then check its execution.
Such devices have found application in a wide variety of mechanisms. The body of the device is usually made of plastic or metal. It contains at least only two control mechanisms, but there are more. The number of buttons depends on the controlled sources of electricity consumers.
Mounting holes are located in the body, allowing to install the armature in a place convenient for operation. The main element in such a device is the push button. It is a manually operated electrical communication armature.
In modern products, 2 types of pushers are now used:
- With self-return, where the return of the button occurs to its original position due to the spring, which is located on the lower side of the device.
- In a fixed position or with self-holding, closing the contact, as well as holding the button until it is pressed again.
The most common is the two-button design. The control panel consists of a body and a front panel. These parts are connected with screws. The buttons, painted in different colors, located on the remote control, control a pair of contacts located inside the device case.
A pair of contacts in the "Start" button is open, so no electric current flows through them. In this state, they are held by a special spring. With increasing voltage, an electromagnetic field arises there, which creates an electromotive force.
With the "Stop" button, the contacts come into a closed state when you press the starting pusher and a work load is created. When the power contacts open, the installation stops working.
Varieties of remotes
Depending on the field of application, push-button devices are of several basic types. When working with metal and woodworking machines and mechanisms for industrial and home use, a PKE push-button post is used. The performance characteristics of such a device are as follows:
- switching current - 10 A;
- limiting voltage of direct and alternating current - 400/600 volts;
- operating cycles with maximum parameters - 5x106.
In industry, where the threat of explosions is excluded, PKU is used. The overall concentration of gas or dust is also very important for their normal operation. Exceeding the values can damage the remote control.
With the help of PKT, the tool is controlled in manual mode from the surface of the earth. They are used when working with electrical equipment with which the mechanisms are equipped. These devices are capable of lifting large loads, for example, beam cranes, overhead cranes. Most often they are used in special production facilities, in warehouses and workshops. In terms of their qualities, the consoles in operational and electrical terms are very similar to the parameters of the PKE.
Pushers vary in color and shape. The stop button is always colored red or yellow. Launcher pushers are most often coated in blue, black, white or green. There are several types of buttons in shape:
- cylindrical;
- in the form of a mushroom;
- recessed in the housing.
The most common two-button modifications with pushers, painted in different colors. In today's consumer market a large assortment of push-button controllers. In terms of their functionality, they are almost identical, so the differences are noted only in the case material, configuration and brand name.
Operational Benefits
There are many advantages to push-button posts of any type. Such devices can be equipped as standard or assembled according to specific customer requirements. The body is always made of non-combustible materials. This is a refractory refractory plastic or metal.
A gasket is always placed between the body and the cover of the control panel. It is made of rubber, which creates a good seal. The seal is always reliably protected from negative environmental factors. During assembly, a special hole is made to pass a cable through it. Fasteners are available in 316 stainless steel only. Thanks to her, they are quite strong and durable.
