Ideally, you need to know everything. At a minimum, you need to know the name of the components and their characteristics.
What parts should be in the kit?
The usual package of accessories consists of:
- Profiles.
- Shin.
- Suspensions.
- Panels.
- Assembly instructions.

The above set is standard for all rack ceilings and no changes to accessories are expected in the near future. Developers and manufacturers have provided that all parts are ready for installation - for the convenience of customers.
Profiles
These are mandatory parts of any ceiling kit. Profiles are designed to fasten the edges of panels, as well as to connect large sections of the ceiling when the maximum panel length is not enough.

The surface of the profile is covered with paint, so before buying, you must inspect the entire kit. Scratches, swelling, dents, peeling paint, and other damage should be identified immediately. Sometimes, even in production, holes are drilled in profiles for fasteners - this nuance should also not be overlooked, as it will save you from having to drill holes yourself.
Tires
Other names are comb, traverse or stringer. Regardless of the name, the purpose of the parts is the same - to fix the panels to the main ceiling. Before buying a kit for mounting a panel ceiling, make sure that the grooves of the crossbars coincide with the dimensions of the panels. It’s best to buy a complete kit released by one manufacturer than to try to choose cheaper parts in pursuit of savings. Indeed, very often parts from different manufacturers are completely unsuitable for each other, and it will take a lot of time to assemble a complete set.

All tires must be inspected before purchase. Scratches, dents and abrasions do not play a big role, since the suspensions will not be visible. It is much more important to analyze the condition of the grooves into which the panels will enter - their dimensions, especially the length, should be suitable.
Suspensions
These components are optional - they are bought when the main ceiling is uneven. The standard suspension consists of two rods. Both rods are interconnected by a metal bracket. One of them is attached to the main ceiling, the second to the bus. The distance between the tire and the surface of the main ceiling is regulated using rods - they are pushed apart or squeezed together.

Panels
The name “panels” among professionals is considered to be correct, namely “panels” and not “slats”, as inexperienced masters often call them. The panel can have different dimensions: length, width and thickness. The main characteristics of the panels are:
- Length - from 3 to 6 meters.
- Width - from 5 cm.
- Thickness - maximum 1 mm.
- Colors - all according to the RAL table.
- Material of manufacture: steel, aluminum, plastic.
When making a purchase, remember that it is the panels that are the most basic components of the entire set, they are the “face” of the entire ceiling.
