Condensation on the inside of the room is not acceptable in most cases. Predicting its appearance is not always possible. This problem is usually solved after the fact.

What is condensate? In the air there are always water vapors in various quantities. This amount determines the relative humidity at the moment and in a particular place. An increase in air temperature makes possible the appearance of an increased amount of steam in its composition. Having reached the maximum value, water begins to accumulate in the form of drops on the walls of the room, thereby contributing to the occurrence of damage to the material of the walls. Water behaves the same way when the surface temperature decreases. If the wall is colder than the air in the room, the formation of condensation will not take long.

The formation of condensation on the ceiling is due to several reasons. This stagnation of air at the top of the room and a significant difference in temperature of the ceiling and air in the room. The intensity of the resulting condensate depends on the relative humidity. The more moisture in the air, the more water accumulates on the ceiling in the form of drops.

A striking example is the glazed and insulated loggia in the apartment and the presence of a non-insulated loggia, or balcony, on top of the neighbors. The ceiling, which is also the floor of a cold loggia, always remains cold. And the heated air of the heated space of the loggia is warmer, which leads to the immediate formation of condensate on the ceiling.

This problem is resolved quite simply, since there is only one solution. This is the initial waterproofing of the ceiling, followed by its insulation. Waterproofing can be carried out with some tar composition based on bitumen, for example. Then, foam boards are attached to the ceiling and, like a fine finish, they are painted or laid on top of plastic panels. After that, the problem is resolved. The second hare was also killed - heat leakage through the ceiling was excluded, and heating costs were reduced.

This is just one example of a solution to this problem. In other rooms and under different conditions of condensation, similar measures are taken, but the choice of materials and the methodology for their use varies already taking into account factors inherent in a particular situation.
