Wallpapering is not easy as it may seem. Bubbles, folds and irregularities often await those who glue them infrequently or for the first time. Some tricks, knowing which, you can glue wallpapers on a professional level, will help to avoid this.
Wall preparation
Before gluing the wallpaper, you need to prepare the walls. They should not have cracks in the plaster, large surface irregularities. Coat the cracks with putty, grind large irregularities. You can check the surface for unevenness with a deliberately even board or with a level length of at least 80-100 cm.

If the old wallpaper was glued, peel it off to the plaster, after making horizontal cuts and moistening it with plenty of warm water. Rip off better with a spatula.
When done, primer the wall. The primer will not allow the adhesive solution to be immediately absorbed into the plaster, due to which the adhesive better copes with its task.

Glue dilution
Glue needs to be selected for those wallpapers that will be glued. If it's paper, then any wallpaper glue will go. If it is vinyl or non-woven, you need to choose it for them. It is necessary to breed evenly, avoiding the appearance of lumps, they often lead to folds and bubbles.
Pour dry glue into a container of water with a thin stream, while abundantly mixing water with a stick, preventing the formation of lumps. If they began to appear, stop pouring glue and mix the mixture until they are removed. It is better to add PVA glue to the adhesive mixture in proportion to a pack of wallpaper half a glass of PVA.

Wallpapering
It is most convenient to start work with a blank wall where there are no windows and doors. We start from the corner of the room. When applying glue to the wall and the inner surface of the wallpaper, you need to give it time to soak. After 7-8 minutes, we look at the surface of the wall, if the glue has managed to dry somewhere, we coat it with a roller or brush again.
We apply the wallpaper sheet to the wall. We smooth with a wallpaper spatula, avoiding creases. It is necessary to smooth from the middle of the strip to the outer edges and slightly up the wallpaper sheet. After, we draw along the surface of the glued strip with the palm of your hand to reveal bubbles. They feel very well with the palm of your hand. If they are, we expel the air with a wallpaper trowel or roller, conducting them to the outer edge of the sheet.

Categorically not
During wallpapering and for four to five days after, it is strictly forbidden to allow drafts in the room. This can lead to incomplete drying of the glue and sticking of wallpaper, as well as the formation of bubbles.
