Methods of mounting fiberboard sheet panels to the wall

- Self-tapping screws directly to the wall;

If this condition is neglected, then such a finish will not last long due to heterogeneous adhesion to the base. An acceptable option for finishing uneven walls with sheet material is using a frame. It is he who will be able to hide any defects. If the curvature is negligible, then it is possible to mount on special fasteners directly to the wall.
Mounting on a frame or leveling a wall - which is more profitable?
When carrying out repairs, a logical question arises: “what is more profitable - to install sheets on a pre-prepared frame or to align the walls for gluing fiberboard. Consider all the points:
- If the walls are concrete with the old paintwork - it is faster, easier and more economical to mount the panels on the frame;
- If the walls will be exposed to moisture - it is better to abandon the glue in favor of frame mounting or fastenings on self-tapping screws, since glue can lose its strength and sheets under the action of moisture over time fall away;
- If there are no skills in the construction field, but there is a desire to do something yourself, then it is better to give preference for the glued installation method, since the design of the frame requires experience and skills in this area.
