How to fix uneven brickwork

Uneven masonry can cause a large number of problems, many of which are associated with the inability to carry out high-quality repairs. Indeed, it is impossible to aesthetically glue wallpaper or apply other facing materials on an uneven wall surface.

Therefore, if any irregularities are detected, it is worth leveling the surface of the walls. You can do this yourself, strictly following the established rules and following the methodology.

Brick wall alignment

At the initial stage of the work, it is necessary to prepare the wall surface. The surface must be cleaned of any building materials and thoroughly. If there is no guarantee that the primer can grip the wall surface reliably, it must first be reinforced.

After the primer has dried on the wall surface, you need to attach metal fasteners - corners that will become the main element for the subsequent installation of drywall sheets. The use of this material will allow you to quickly align the brick wall and prepare it for repairs.

Plaster leveling

It is possible to achieve an even covering of a brick wall without using drywall sheets. Most often, this method is used in the case of a small area of ​​the room, which will decrease when using drywall.

In this case, three layers of building materials must be applied to the wall surface.

It:

• Plaster spray;
• Primer;
• Nakryvka.

Spraying should be carried out using special equipment, which will supply the plaster to the wall under strong pressure. Thanks to this, it will be possible to fill the gap and any chips on the surface with the composition.

The primer must be done after the plaster has completely dried. The soil layer should be at least 10-15 cm, which will allow alignment of the brick wall. The layer thickness directly depends on the degree of defect.

The last layer is grinding. Apply the solution to a primed surface using a trowel. After drying, it is ground in a circular motion, which allows you to achieve a perfectly smooth wall surface.

It is worth remembering that all the work associated with the alignment of brick walls, it is impossible to carry out in a few hours. Therefore, in any case, you need to be patient and acquire the necessary tools and materials. As tools, it is absolutely necessary to use beacons, trowels, self-tapping screws, a puncher, plumb bob.
