How to prepare the walls for wallpapering so that there are no folds and bubbles

Many people who have encountered the process of wallpapering the walls for sure know about such a problem as the formation of bubbles. The disadvantage is not critical, but requires attention. Consider how to get rid of bubbles and what measures should be taken in advance to avoid their formation.

If a bubble is found after wallpapering the walls, then do not despair. You need to take a spatula made of plastic or a special brush, a rubber roller and a soft rag. Having driven away the excess glue, it will be possible to get rid of the defect.

Quite often, bubbles disappear during drying and shrinkage of wallpaper material. If, after the lapse of time, the flaw has not been eliminated, then we can resort to a more radical method. Using a medical syringe with a needle, you can make a small hole in the swollen area and remove the air and fill the voids with glue. An existing tool should smooth out irregularities moving from the edge to the center. Excess adhesive material will be removed through a previously made hole.

If the swollen bubble is large, then you need to act even more carefully. A sharp smooth blade can make an incision in the lower part of the swollen area. The algorithm for further actions remains unchanged, except that the glue is expelled from top to bottom - towards the notch. Given that the incision site is likely to remain noticeable even after drying, do not make it too wide.

First of all, it is important that the density of the glue used matches the type of wallpaper. Thin materials very poorly tolerate the dense glue composition.

Room temperature should not be higher than 23 degrees Celsius. At high temperatures and sunny weather, you can place water containers in the room so that the wallpaper dries evenly and quickly.

After gluing the walls, you cannot open the doors and windows of the room for one day.
