How to calculate the repair time in order to catch an important event

Often people start repairs, hoping to complete it completely by a specific date. For example, on September 1, a child will go to school, or in the spring a daughter’s wedding is scheduled. It is clear that such important events cannot be postponed or postponed. And I want to note them in an updated and clean apartment.

So that instead of pleasant memories, the repair does not turn into a nightmare in reality, it is necessary to correctly plan the timing of the work. In other words, in order to complete the repair on time, it is necessary to start it in a timely manner.

Repair work always consists of three stages, following each other:

• Creating a workspace and laying communications;
• Surface preparation of walls, floors and ceilings;
• Finishing and installation of equipment.

How long do different jobs take

Some of these processes can only be performed in strict sequence, while others can be run in parallel. It is not so important here the initial state of the object of repair, how much complexity of work and the selected technology. The execution time depends on them. So, for example, if you are thinking of repairing a standard two-room apartment of about 70 square meters with redevelopment, the terms will look like this:

1. It may take from 1 to 2 months to redevelop itself with the approval of documents and project development. At this time, it is not worth starting the repair, until all the documents are ready.
2. Delivery times also affect the duration of repairs. It is better to think in advance what materials and when will be required, and who will be involved in the procurement. Otherwise, you can disrupt the schedule.
3. Dismantling old partitions can take from 2 to 3 days, and it will take about a week to build new ones. If the apartment is new, then you don’t have to demolish anything.
4. The plumbing and electrical wiring begins after the walls are ready. Cables and pipes need to be laid in 15-20 days, and it is necessary to finish this step before the plastering of the walls begins.
5. The plastering work itself will take about three weeks if everything is done manually. But this still needs to be added to the drying time, and it is different for different types of plaster. You can speed up the drying process by using thermal convectors for heating.
6. Immediately after the plaster, they begin to screed the floor. The work itself will take from 4 to 5 days, but the floor is finished only after the screed has dried, which will require another two weeks.
7. A good master is able to complete laying tiles in the bathroom and in the kitchen in 10-12 days. But it is better that he has before himself the exact layout layout.
8. The stage of "dirty" work is completed with putty, which is carried out in several layers and takes 15-18 days.
9. Up to two weeks may be required for finishing finishing work. At this stage, you need to paint the walls or glue the wallpaper, lay linoleum or laminate, install ceilings. These works require more responsibility and professionalism. Ultimately, the overall impression of the apartment will depend on the skill of the craftsmen. Therefore, the rush here is not appropriate.
10.  Installation of plumbing equipment, installation of air conditioning, electrical outlets and lamps will add another 3-5 days to the total repair time.
11. At the last stage, plinths are mounted, interior doors are installed.

To roughly understand how many days it will take to repair, experts suggest using the formula for calculation: T = 10 + 0.9S. If the area is less than 35 m², then a coefficient of 0.9 is not needed. Instead S must substitute the area of ​​your apartment. For example, for 70 m²we get: T = 10 + 0.9 x 70 = 73. Of course, this is only the average repair time, and it does not take into account the redevelopment, which will require the same amount.
