Now many apartments are already being rented with good repair and furniture, but, as a rule, their price is much higher. And if you come across an inexpensive apartment without repair, is it worth it to move in, with an eye to make repairs yourself?

Real estate market experts do not advise renting an apartment in a completely “killed” state. Saving from this will not work. Rules for the repair of rental housing

Starting repairs in temporary housing, the following rules should be followed:

1. Adding some furnishings to the apartment, you need to be guided by the principle: to make, basically, what you can take with you when moving.
2. Large-scale work to replace plumbing, sewers or wiring is better not to do at all at your own expense. If it is absolutely necessary, then let the repair be carried out at the expense of the owner of the premises. Or it is necessary to conclude an agreement with him that instead of the rent, the work of builders will be paid. But this is possible only if there is confidence in the honesty and decency of the owner. After all, he can easily evict the tenant after the repair is completed, and rent the apartment at a higher price to other people.
3. To bring the walls to normal condition, to refresh their appearance, it will be enough just to glue the wallpaper to your taste. You can do this quickly and yourself, without resorting to the services of hired workers. If the walls are uneven, use thick non-woven or vinyl wallpaper. They to some extent visually smooth out the shortcomings.
4. Cracks in the plaster on the ceiling can also be quickly puttied, and then walk on the ceiling with a water emulsion.
5. The wooden floor can be painted or varnished again. It is easier and faster (but not cheaper) to buy a piece of linoleum or carpet to fit the size of the room and cover it with the floor.
6. Self-adhesive film of different colors and textures is well suited to give a beautiful look to old furniture. True, it will stay on the surface for several months or years, and then it will have to be changed.
7. Original new curtains, napkins, rugs and other designer accessories will help to give cosiness to the rooms. It is better to put old furniture in covers or just cover it with cloaks.
8. Finally, you can make an apartment home and warm with the help of paintings, family photos, flowers and other trifles that are pleasant to the eye.

Such work will not take too much time and will not be burdensome for the budget, but rented housing will turn into a convenient place to live.
