What is the difficulty of installing roof sandwich panels

The technology of laying sandwich panels of the roof is very simple to understand, but has several nuances. At the same time, it is practically impossible to perform work without construction equipment, because the recommended panel length, as a rule, corresponds to the size of the ramp.

Before laying sandwich panels, prepare the roof. Not every design is suitable for such a roof. Important nuances:

• Slope slope should be between 7-15⁰.
• Panels can be mounted on roofs with a slope of about 5⁰, but then the creation of horizontal joints is unacceptable.
• If the slope of the ramp is more than 16⁰, then to prevent slipping, additional stops are installed on the overhang.

The length of the panel according to the size of the slope is selected for the reason that this configuration allows minimizing the deformation of the roof during operation. In addition, despite the size, it is easier to install one panel along the entire length than to connect the roof from several horizontal pieces.

What you need to know in order to mount the roof from sandwich panels and at the same time not to spoil the material and build a quality roof:

• After cutting, remove the protective film from the wrong side of the plate;
• The material of the plates is sensitive to temperature changes, therefore, for cutting use fine-toothed saws, and during installation manual scissors;
• In order not to damage the material when lifted by a crane, it is worth using vacuum suction cups for fastening;
• It is important not to forget to remove the protective film from the plates from the outside at the points of attachment of the suction cups;
• Drilling and cutting places are carefully cleaned of metal chips;
• The plates are fixed to the structure with steel screws having a special washer gasket, strictly at an angle of 90⁰ in relation to the beams;
• All joint seams are treated with sealants before the parts are fixed to the mounting lock;
• The panel should form an overhang from the roof, that is, be slightly longer than the size of the ramp;
• Thermal insulation and the lower steel layer are cut off at the upper edge of the panel to form a horizontal joint of two adjacent structures in the ridge.

All the secrets of installing sandwich panels are very easy to understand, but it is important to strictly follow the sequence of work. After the panel is fixed on the roof, it is almost impossible to fix something without spoiling the material.
