The cause of many problems that arose during the operation of metal-plastic windows is often the miscalculations made during their installation. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the most common mistakes that are often made by incompetent or irresponsible masters.

The remaining particles of uncured mortar or debris left as a result of poor-quality surface cleaning often interfere with the normal interaction of the mounting foam with the window substrate. Its insufficient tightness leads to the fact that under the influence of moisture the substrate begins to let draft and dampness into the room.

Incorrectly selected overall dimensions of the window frame will cause the inability to perform normal insulation during installation.
The mounted window should be located in the central part of a single-layer wall or on the edge of a two-layer one. If the wall has three layers or more, then the frame should be installed in the plane of the insulation itself. Neglect of this rule often leads to the formation of the so-called “cold bridges”.
For high-quality deposition of the window system relative to the wall, it is necessary to have a margin of 4 cm between the frame and the opening. For the platband and frame, 150 mm will be sufficient. Some masters ignore these conditions, as a result of which they are unable to perform the correct compaction.

In order to prevent blockage of the window drainage holes, the tide should not exceed the level of the internal window sill. To prevent this, additional profiles are used, and the selection of windows is carried out taking into account previously installed platbands.
It is not uncommon for a window profile to pass water, which causes the walls to become wet and corrode metal elements. The reason for this often becomes the lack of an external window sill, which was not provided for during installation

The use of an insufficient number of dowels in the process of fixing the window profile will not allow tightly fixing the structure to the wall. Over time, the windows may shift, which will lead not only to cracked plaster, but also to deformation of the frame.
Insufficient filling of joints with window foam often causes the formation of warm bridges. It is recommended to use the foam in series, as well as carefully monitor the level of filling the gap between the slope and the frame.

In addition to these installation flaws, it is not uncommon to find improperly installed thermal insulation, ignoring the need for vapor-proof and vapor barrier tape. In order to avoid troubles with metal-plastic windows, it is recommended not to save on installation services and only contact trusted organizations.
