Work on sticking is often entrusted to professionals, but you can do it yourself. To do this, you need to familiarize yourself with common mistakes when pasting and wallpaper and ways to eliminate them if they were made.

Indoor temperature

The main mistake when wallpapering is non-compliance with the temperature conditions in the room. When carrying out work, it is strongly recommended to close doors and windows, which will avoid drafts. Temperature differences can cause air bubbles to appear under the rolls and exfoliate.

The optimal temperature in the visit is +23 degrees. In this case, uniform drying of the adhesive composition will be ensured.

If the temperature regime exceeds the indicated mark, it is worth using the methods of artificial humidification of the premises. You can use special devices or install water tanks around the perimeter of the room. The liquid will evaporate, providing an optimal microclimate in the room.

Incorrect fitting of the joints of the rolls

In this case, you may encounter the fact that during drying, gaps will appear between the wallpaper. This is due to the fact that dried rolls shrink. Therefore, it is recommended to overlap, and when drying, remove excess wallpaper with a sharp clerical knife.

Wallpaper peel off from the ceiling

This error is due to several factors:

• Inadequate use of glue;
• Poor cleaning of the wall surface from paint, whitewash or plaster;
• Lack of adhesive coating of the base of the wall.

To correct a defect that has arisen, it is worth bending a part of the roll and cleaning its inner surface of any contaminants. The same applies to the basis on which the wallpaper will be glued.

After cleaning the inner surface, a thick adhesive mass must be applied to it and left for some time to soften. After that, it is worth sticking a piece of wallpaper, pressing it with a clean sheet of paper, which will prevent damage to the texture.
