How to mosaic the floor and not regret it

Laying technology involves the use of sheets made of mosaics. Pieces of sheets are to be bonded to each other with paper or a mesh of plastic. How to prepare a mosaic

First you need to clean it of dirt and wipe the wrong side with a light rag soaked in a solution with soap.

• Carpenter's pencil;

How to prepare the surface

To do quality work, you need to take seriously the preparation of the foundation. Get rid of the previous flooring. The rough base must be flat, but not more than 2 millimeters per m2 is allowed. In case of severe damage to the floor, align with the finish bay.

2. Mosaic tiles.

Styling process

Laying is carried out from the center of the room. A laying pattern is applied using laser or building metal levels.

Sequencing:

1. A little mosaic glue is applied in the middle of the square marking.
2. Laying the first sheet of the mosaic on the solution should go strictly according to the finished layout. Next, the mosaic sheet is pressed into the solution by pressing a rubber mallet.
3. The mosaic tile is gently lifted from one side and its exact contact is checked, then the sheet is removed and laid again. The solution is added with a spatula with cloves. It is again pressed into the solution with a rubber mallet and a “mallet”.
4. The subsequent mosaic sheet is set in the same way. It is necessary to check the coincidence of the tile laying lines at the building level.
5. Excess mortar is removed with a spatula and a dampened sponge. There should be nothing left on the tile.

How to get around problem areas with mosaic tiles

Due to the small size of some elements of mosaic tiles, it is not necessary to cut out each for styling. You just need to carefully cut the tile along the seam (this is important) after finishing the process of laying the mosaic on the floor, approximately, like with a piece of linoleum. A construction knife is useful for this.

If necessary, trim individual tiles, you need to remove the tile from the base of the mosaic sheet. Then cut and lay on top of the solution again.
