The rubber spatula is a finishing tool with a plastic or wooden handle and a rubber work surface. It can be rectangular or triangular in shape. Rubber, depending on stiffness, can have white or black color. Through the use of rubber, the putty knife has good flexibility and elasticity. Using it, you can easily push the grout into the joints between the tiles, completely filling them. White spatulas are tougher. Such a tool performs its functions better.

Before grouting the joints, you need to clean them and the surface of the tile from glue, debris, dust and crosses. Then a small amount of grout is diluted, since the solution hardens rather quickly. Having collected a little solution on a rubber spatula, it is pressed and rubbed in the seams. This technique is necessary to completely fill the voids between the two tiles. If the grout is not pressed, it will crumble after drying and will not be able to protect the joints from moisture and dirt.

At one time, you should grout a small area, otherwise, due to the drying of the solution, it will not be possible to make joints. After applying the grout to a small area, its excess is immediately cleaned with a damp sponge. After the solution has completely dried, this will be problematic. In case of rough mechanical action, the tile can be damaged.

Rubbing tile seams on the street, you should use the mixture for outdoor work. It does not collapse under atmospheric influences and reliably protects tile joints from moisture in them. Unsuitable trowels by type cannot cope with this function. The water that has got into the seams freezes in the winter and causes the peeling of the tile. As a result, a new tile laying.

After grouting, without waiting for the mixture to solidify completely, jointing is done. Stitching - leveling joints, designed to give them a more attractive appearance. After finishing work, the surface of the tile is wiped with a damp sponge or cloth, completely removing residual grout from it.
