Drywall installation is characterized by the fact that after doing this work, seams appear between the sheets of material, which give the finished surface a rather unsightly appearance. What measures should be taken to make the seams invisible to the human eye?

Features of the installation and use of drywall
Each drywall sheet has special recesses on its front side, which usually go around the entire perimeter of the product. The type of sheet affects the size of such recesses, and their purpose is to apply a special sealing mixture. Such compositions are represented by a wide variety, which does not create any difficulties in choosing the necessary material.

Drywall is easy to install on walls and ceilings. One of its remarkable properties is the ability to create structures of varying complexity. Sheets of material practically do not load the floors, which is another of its positive qualities.

Gypsum plasterboard is based on gypsum, which, when moistened, swells and forms insignificant but unsightly cracks when dried at the joints. That is why you should not use this material in wet rooms. For such spaces, a special moisture-resistant drywall is intended.

Tools and materials
The following materials will be required to close drywall seams:
- Drywall;
- Primer;
- Putty;
- Serpyanka.
From the tools you will need:
- Putty knife;
- Paint knife;
- Wide brush;
- Sandpaper.
Drywall Technology
This process is usually carried out in several successive steps:
- Between the drywall sheets seams are embroidered. When they are mounted on the ceiling, products in places where there is a factory bevel do not always succeed in joining qualitatively. To embroider with a paint knife, the edges of the sheets are cut, thus expanding the seams between them.
- A wide brush removes dust and burrs from the installation of sheets from the seams.
- A primer is prepared - if the installation of drywall is carried out in a humid room, then a moisture-resistant composition is used. Each seam is smeared with a primer, after which it is left for a certain time to dry.
- When the drywall seams are completely dry, you can proceed to their immediate closure. To do this, you can use latex-based putty, which is usually sold in plastic buckets. Such a composition does not shrink, giving the surface an aesthetic appearance. The mortar mixture can also be prepared from the finishing putty.
- Pour the required amount of dry mixture into a bucket, after which it is poured with water. The components are mixed with a construction mixer. A well prepared grout should not contain lumps. Even a small lump can leave an unsightly and difficult to remove furrow on the surface, which will ruin all the work done. The prepared composition by consistency should resemble thick sour cream. Ideally, it should rest on a spatula without any slipping.
- A small amount of the mixture is taken with a spatula, after which it is pressed in, smeared along the seam. The joint treated in this way is covered with a syrup, the width of which should be slightly larger than the width of the seam. Serpianka is leveled with a spatula, after which all this is left for a certain time to dry. It should be well pressed into the freshly applied putty, thus ensuring high-quality sealing of the seam.
- The dried surface is subjected to grinding, for which fine sandpaper is usually used. A seam treated in this way should be perfectly even. The joint is smeared with a primer, after which it is left to dry. Ready-made plasterboard coating can be painted or wallpapered.

On this, the process of closing gypsum plasterboard joints can be considered completed.
