Disruptions to the drainage system occur when the depth of freezing of the soil and the occurrence of subsurface water are incorrectly determined. In such cases, the drainage simply does not have time to divert excess water.

A common mistake made when arranging drainage is its combination with storm sewers or a drainage system of the roof. A large amount of precipitation, especially in the spring and autumn, causes overflow of the drainage system. She ceases to cope with her task and allows a large amount of water to penetrate the foundation of the house. At the same time, the soil is waterlogged, and it becomes impossible to drain it.
Another error is caused by not observing the desired angle of inclination of the drainage pipelines or channels. This reduces the efficiency of the outflow of water from it, constant clogging and disruption of normal operation.
To restore the normal functioning of the foundation drainage, it is necessary to open the trenches in which the drainage pipes are laid. Rubble or gravel located in trenches must be washed or replaced. You may need additional sand bedding.

Flush the drain pipes as well. Damaged areas must be replaced with new ones. With insufficient efficiency of the system, stack pipes of increased cross-section. In this case, it is imperative to observe their bias, to ensure gravitational outflow of water.
