It is one thing when the outlet burns out completely once for one reason or another. Here, as a rule, everything is more or less clear. But it’s a completely different matter if only one contact burns out, and when a new outlet is installed, the problem repeats.
Bent over contact
In this case, the problem is explained quite simply, although this is not always obvious. It's just that a person often uses a specific outlet, or rather, often turns the plug of one or another consumer of electricity on and off from it. This leads to the fact that over time one of the contacts may bend.
The question arises, why, then, only one contact constantly burns. And this often arises from the fact that a particular person may have a peculiar, characteristic manner of turning the plug on and off. He may not notice for himself how he exerts a little more effort on one of the contacts.

This can often happen if the outlet is not conveniently located. For example, if you need to reach out to her. And in such a situation, no matter how hard a person tries, he will most likely still exert a slightly greater effort on one of the contacts. There are only two ways out: either no longer use this outlet and find or make a replacement for it, or periodically bend the contact in it, returning it to its normal position.
Reasons for the power grid
Relatively often, it happens that for no obvious reason the “zero” on the outlet constantly burns out. And this problem does not disappear when replaced with better sockets, with sockets of other standards. And all because the point here is not at all in the outlet, but in the power grid.

This sometimes happens from strong stray currents, which are attracted to zero due to grounding. It is also possible with strong power surges and other characteristics of the electric current in the room network, whether it be a house or an apartment.
However, sometimes in such a situation the problem is in the outlet itself. It has been noted more than once that contacts at “zero” are often finer than at “phase”. Then the reason for the constant burning of “zero” is obvious, and just pick up a socket with equivalent contacts.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that if such a problem arose, and replacing one outlet with another did not affect the situation, it is worth contacting specialists. Diagnostics of the room’s power supply network is required for defects, such as voltage drops, strong stray currents, and others.
