When plastering walls with curved surfaces, the mandatory presence of beacons is required. They are installed in strict accordance with the vertical, and this requires a building level and a plumb line.
A plumb line is the builder's simplest and most accurate measuring tool, which is a thread with a load tied to the end. It can easily be made independently using a large nut or washer as cargo.

To obtain a measurement of the vertical of the wall in its upper part, a self-tapping screw is screwed under the ceiling or a nail is hammered. In one line from it, from top to bottom, from the ceiling to the floor, plastic dowels are installed in the wall. Screws are screwed into them. The end of the plumb line is tied to the uppermost one. At the same time, the load should not touch the floor, and the thread should not touch the walls and the hats of the screws. After waiting for the thread to swing, the screws are carefully turned out until the caps touch the plumb line. Then, the plumb line that has become unnecessary is removed and a perfectly vertical surface is obtained.

The usual building level is a metal ruler with a bubble indicator of vertical and horizontal surfaces. In the presence of an ideal vertical or horizontal, the air bubble in the level indicator should be located strictly between two lines. However, the readings of the bubble levels are often not true. This often occurs due to careless storage, falling, or deformation of the case. Knowing this, professional builders always use a plumb line.

You can check the readings of the building level by attaching it to the hats of self-tapping screws, set vertically with a plumb line. If the indicator bubble is offset relative to the lines, the level requires calibration. Lighthouses displayed according to the testimony of such an instrument will have serious deviations from the vertical plane.

However, you can adjust the bubble level indicator by the same screws. To do this, slightly loosen the mounting screws of the vertical indicator housing and turn it until the air bubble is at an equal distance between the lines. Then the fixing screws are tightened neatly.
No more accurate readings from the laser level. The fact is that his position is set using the built-in bubble level, which can also give incorrect readings. To adjust the correct vertical position of the laser beam will help all the same ordinary plumb.
