The house is our castle, a cozy and warm place. Every housewife wants her home to be the most beautiful, and for this I have to make a lot of effort. Having entered an apartment or a house, first of all, walls are striking. That is why it is so important to ensure that they are always well-groomed and, of course, stylish, in line with modern fashion trends. Most often, wallpapers are used to decorate the walls. Today they come in a wide variety of types and colors.

What liquid wallpaper looks like
Liquid wallpaper is a loose mixture, something very similar to colored sawdust. It is not sold in rolls, like ordinary wallpaper, but in plastic packaging. Liquid wallpaper consists mainly of cotton and cellulose fibers.
Dyes are also added to give color, and a bonding adhesive. To improve the decorative qualities in the wallpaper can be added dry algae, mica, wood bark.

Liquid Wallpaper: Pros and Cons
Before we look at how to glue a liquid wallpaper, let's look at all the advantages and disadvantages of this finishing material.
The advantages of liquid wallpaper:
- Exceptionally natural composition;
- Good heat and sound insulation due to microporous structure;
- Antistatic. Do not attract dust;
- Vapor permeability and moisture absorption;
- Do not absorb odor and smoke;
- Do not fade, maintain a bright and saturated color for a long time;
- To the touch warm, not afraid of the cold;
- Leveling ability. Liquid wallpaper can be glued on uneven walls, possibly even with cracks;
- Damage is easily repaired. For example, if part of the wallpaper turns out to be stained, then it can be soaked with water and removed, and the empty space taped with new liquid wallpaper;
- They are easy to wash, however, only if they are painted with varnish.

The disadvantages of liquid wallpaper:
- The disadvantages of liquid wallpaper can be attributed primarily to their high cost, so the question of how to glue liquid wallpaper will remain open for many;
- The disadvantage of liquid wallpaper is long-term drying. This will take from two days, maybe even a whole week;
- And one more of their significant drawbacks: if used improperly, they quickly scratch, but this is, rather, not a minus, but just non-compliance with the operating rules. Ordinary wallpapers are also easy to render unusable.

Preparing walls for liquid wallpaper
Before you decide to stick liquid wallpaper, prepare the walls. To do this, they need to be thoroughly cleaned from previous wallpaper, washed, and if necessary treated with a primer. If there are small cracks or bumps on the surface of the walls, do not worry, as liquid wallpapers easily fit, creating an even smooth layer, and the imperfections of the wall will be practically imperceptible.

Liquid wallpaper: instructions for use
Of course, if possible, it is best to entrust the work with liquid wallpaper to a professional. But if the family budget is not very huge, then you can try to stick liquid wallpaper on your own.

It all starts with the preparation of the material. Liquid wallpaper should be removed from the packaging, put in a large container and filled with the required amount of water, indicated in the attached instructions. Now you need to mix the water and mix well, and this should be done only by hand.

When the mixture is ready, you can begin to apply it. How to apply liquid wallpaper? Certain rules do not exist here. A plastic grater is taken (or a spatula, if you want the surface of the wallpaper to be embossed), it captures a certain amount of the mixture and is evenly distributed on the wall. It is necessary to ensure that the layer does not turn out very thin. Focus on the fact that the wall through the liquid wallpaper should not be visible. When the liquid wallpaper is applied, you need to wait until they dry completely, which will take several days.
As you can see, sticking a wallpaper is not so difficult. True, some skill will still be needed. But if something suddenly doesn’t work out for you, you can remove the damaged part of the wallpaper, and put a fresh mixture in its place.

How to remove liquid wallpaper
If you think that liquid wallpaper sticks to the wall forever, then you are deeply mistaken. Removing them, if necessary, is very simple. To do this, you need to moisten the wall with water, wait a few minutes and just clean the wallpaper. It is really very simple, and most importantly, fast.
