Floor screeding is a laborious and complex process, which is quite difficult to do without during the repair of a room. And you need to understand that the work must be done as efficiently as possible, because the quality of laying the flooring and the period of operation depend on this in the future. For work, qualified specialists recommend using beacons, these are guides for pouring, which make it possible to perform the job correctly. But this process takes a lot of time and requires certain knowledge, on the basis of this, many are wondering whether it is possible to perform a screed without using beacon guides.
Screed
At the heart of any screed is a cement-sand mixture. Existing varieties:
- Draft screed. It is poured onto the floor with an unprocessed profile.
- The final one. A special solution is used, which is poured onto the first layer.
Without experience in such work, it is problematic to complete the work. This is due to the fact that specialized marking and further installation of beacons is required. But at the moment, you can do the job without using beacon profiles, in which case a special leveler, or a self-leveling mixture, will come to the rescue.

Composition that aligns itself
The solution is based on a mixture of cement and sand, an additional water inhibitor is used, as well as gypsum. Thanks to gypsum, the mixture hardens much faster, and thanks to a water inhibitor, the composition evenly spreads over the entire surface.
During the purchase process, it is important to pay attention to the fact that individual compositions are intended for rough finishing, and separate ones for the final one. If you use the wrong option, you can damage the screed.

Using a leveler
Sometimes a rough screed can not hide all floor defects, and even the final layer does not solve this problem. It is in such situations that it is advisable to use a leveler. The algorithm of actions is as follows:
- The floor must be cleaned of dirt, previous screed and dust.
- The base should be impregnated with an acrylic compound.
- The leveler is diluted with water, and the rule is evenly divided over the entire surface.
- Just one hour is enough for the layer to dry. After this, you need to fill in another part of the composition. This will make it possible to hide all defects and irregularities.
After that, you can do the laying of the flooring and not worry that the work will be done poorly.
