What will happen to the owners of gas meters, what changes can happen

This year, on November 8, the Ministry of Construction introduced a new project to introduce amendments to the gas supply. It will concern those who have gas meters and those who will be required to install them. The latter include those who heat their premises with the help of gas boilers or columns. So what changes are proposed to be made?

Introducing an increase ratio

The introduction of such a coefficient (1.5) is proposed to be applied in cases where the owner of the apartment or house does not install a gas meter, although he is required by law to do so. In order to avoid increasing the payment for gas, the owner must prove that there is no technical possibility of installing a meter.

New gas meters must be sealed. This procedure is carried out free of charge by gas services.

Seal damage

Based on the new provisions, if during the inspection of metering devices, special services officers find damage to the seal, they must draw up an act. In this case, the owners can pay ten times more for gas in the period that begins from the date of restoration of the seal and until the inspection. This period may not exceed more than six months. If employees fail to establish the number of residents per square meters, then recalculation will be carried out according to the number of owners.

Check Notifications

Inspections of gas equipment for their unsuitability should not be carried out without warning owners. Such a warning should come at least two months before the expiration of the operational period of the gas meter. Services can do this using SMS, phone alerts, payment receipts or through the post office.

Lack of evidence

This rule affects those cases when the owner misses the time taken to testify. If the consumer did not testify within the first three months, then payment is charged according to the average values ​​of the meter. In the next three-month period, payment will be made based on current standards.

If within six months the consumer starts again to take and send meter data, then the fee for them will be according to general rules. Above this period, the gas service leaves the address for verification, and only after that can the testimony be transmitted.
