5 dangerous mistakes when installing the front door

Neglecting the quantity and quality of door hinges

This is one of the important points in installing doors. When selecting loops, it is worth considering the load to which they will be subjected. Not used level

This is the worst mistake during installation! When installing doors, you must use a level. Without this simple object, the likelihood that the door after installation will open itself or close itself increases by almost 100%. To avoid problems that entail uncomfortable consequences, you need to have a laser or normal level with you.

The difference in floor is best measured with a laser level.

Incorrect initial measurement

The complete absence of technical gaps between the wall and the door frame, indicates an unfair measurement at the initial stage. Foaming gaps allow you to control the level of installation. Also, between the door and the door frame should be 3-4 mm, on each side, including the top after installation. The absence of these gaps leads to further deformation of the doors, creaking, and warping.

Close-fitting locks

The lock bolts should not be too tightly installed and should have a small technical clearance of about 1.5-2 mm. When the door shrinks or deforms, if the gap was not allowed, the bolts of the bolt will jam and the lock will stop closing or opening. If an automatic lock is installed, then when you press the button on the remote control, the door will not be closed, despite the characteristic click.

Fastening the box to metal smooth rods

Fasten the door leaf only using an anchor, a common mistake is to fasten the structure to smooth metal rods, which does not allow to reliably fix the box and guarantee expansion during installation designs.

Proper installation of doors is not only a guarantee of a long and not wearing out service, but also safety during use. So that the door fulfills all its functions and does not provide discomfort, it is worthwhile to approach its installation with all responsibility and not to neglect the rules and nuances of its installation.
