There are four stability classes of entrance doors. The first includes doors that can be opened with simple tools and brute force. It is no longer possible to open the second class by mechanical efforts, it is quite protected from them. But at the same time, such a door lends itself to electric tools. The third class of protection can be opened only with fairly powerful devices. The fourth class involves protection not only from hacking, but also from weapons and much more. These are already armored and special doors.

At the heart of any door is a frame. Modern metal doors have stiffeners inside. Sheet metal and hinges are welded onto the frame for attachment to the door frame. Insulating materials are placed inside the frame. They are not designed to protect against hacking, but they perform sound and heat insulating functions. Between the door frame and the door itself, gaskets are usually laid to eliminate any gaps.

When planning the purchase of the front door and thinking about the level of protection, paramount attention should be paid to production technology and steel quality. The thickness of the sheet of metal should be at least one and a half to two millimeters. The shape of the door must be correct.

No welds should be present on the sheets. Models equipped with additional amplifiers should give their preference if you want to get reliable protection. The main load falls on the door frame, so it should have increased strength. The thickness of the steel should be greater than that of the main blade. Around the perimeter, the box should be fixed as securely as possible.

According to modern safety requirements, there should be at least two locks in the front door. In this case, one must have a complex device, so that when opening it, you had to spend as much time as possible. The second should protect against force during opening. Hinges are best mounted on the inside. Additional protection will need to be provided for outdoor use, as they can be cut. The number of loops should be at least three to four.

From turning the front door protects the platbands. They close the gaps that are present in the structure. Platbands should also be metal and thick enough, since safety also depends on this element, which seems simply decorative to many.
