The bathroom is the room with the highest humidity in the apartment. Not every coating can withstand such conditions, so you need to know what you can lay and what not. Which floor in the bathroom is better not to do?

Glossy Tile
Ceramics for the bath is a universal coating that is ideal in high humidity conditions. But the glossy coating is very slippery, so it is easy to fall on it, stepping with a wet foot. In addition, it is on the gloss that constant drops and stains from dried moisture remain.

A natural stone
Having almost the same properties as ceramic tiles, natural stone has many disadvantages. Due to the high price, not every owner will be able to afford it. Also, the coating is quite slippery and cold. Natural stone, such as granite, can release radiation into the environment. Plates among themselves, even in the same batch, can vary greatly in pattern and shade. The most unpleasant moment is that often natural stone contains inclusions of iron, which, when in constant contact with water, will begin to rust.

An ideal alternative is a matte ceramic tile that mimics the texture and pattern of a real stone. Under it, you can easily lay a warm floor, while spending much less.

Bulk floor
One of the most modern coatings with many designs and textures. On it you can apply any pattern, both flat and three-dimensional. Thus, the floor in the bathroom can turn into an underwater kingdom or sandy sea beach. But at the same time, it has disadvantages: a very high cost of work, a long preparation before filling, associated with the arrangement of a concrete screed and its drying. Without the right foundation, the floor will lie crookedly and the whole effect will be ruined.

Tree
It seems that the use of wood in rooms, like a bathroom, is not appropriate at all. But if you select the right variety and make good protection, then this option may exist in conditions of high humidity. This will be the first minus - too much preliminary work on the selection of material. Further, no matter how beautiful the tree is, laying it in the bathroom will be very expensive. Nevertheless, one should not forget that the wood absorbs moisture perfectly, deforms and swells, no matter how well its protection is thought out. All these disadvantages relate to laminate and parquet.

In addition, when heavy objects fall or cause mechanical damage, the tree becomes vulnerable to water or other chemicals.
Linoleum
Linoleum is waterproof and is difficult to undergo deformation when interacting with any chemical products for the bathroom. But all these advantages will not be realized if the material is not properly laid.

In order for the linoleum coating to be successfully operated, many points must be taken into account. Firstly, only a thick moisture-resistant coating with a relief surface is suitable for the bathroom. Secondly, linoleum is laid in such a way that there are no seams at the points of moisture. Thirdly, all seams should not only be glued, but also boiled.
