How to wash wallpaper so as not to spoil them

Maintaining cleanliness in your home is very important. It is much more pleasant to be in clean rooms, and they do not pose a health threat. Washable wallpapers are a beautiful and fairly practical wall decoration. Their surface has no relief, so dirt is removed quite easily. Already glued walls can be treated with special compounds that prevent dust from attracting and repel water. Thanks to this, it will be easier to fight with dirt. However, special equipment will not be able to protect one hundred percent from soiling and coloring substances.

There is nothing laborious or too complicated in caring for washable wallpaper. This wall decoration is considered an excellent option for the hallway and corridors. It is worth using it in the children's room and in the kitchen. Sometimes washable materials cover only the lower part, and not the entire wall completely. This is also allowed.

It is only important that the density of the material is large enough, because damaging the wallpaper during cleaning is fairly easy. More practical are dark colors.

To care for the wallpaper, you can use shower gel, shampoo, dishwashing detergent or liquid soap. Washing powders, bleaching compounds, as well as substances containing bleach and abrasives cannot be used. Detergent must be removed from the wall carefully, otherwise smudges will spoil the entire appearance and reduce the effort spent on cleaning to nothing. Dirt from the wall must be removed with soft circular motions. Dry wallpaper after cleaning is always advisable.

Wet cleaning is allowed only if the manufacturer of the wallpaper indicates this directly in the instructions or on the markings. Moisture resistance different materials have different. Wipe with a damp cloth only those surfaces that do not absorb liquid. Dry cleaning options should be used for thin and porous materials.

Liquid wallpapers are not amenable to cleaning, as they are very well impregnated when applied correctly with adhesive. Small mechanical influences during cleaning will not harm this finish. But at the same time, it is not worth pushing the sponge strongly, if the finish is already old, during its application the technologies were violated.

Hard soap cannot be used for any wallpaper, as it can change the color of the material. The painted wallpaper is cleaned by the method that is allowed for the used paint. Alkyd compounds, for example, can be washed, but water-dispersed ones cannot.
