Also in stores you can buy ready-made complex products intended for such procedures. It is dangerous to clean aluminum batteries with caustic alkalis and acids, as this can damage the equipment.
After this is done several times, it is necessary to pour in the solution containing the cleaning agent, then close the plugs and leave the radiator for two hours. After this time, it is necessary to shake it and gently tap on the walls. The main thing is not to use a metal hammer for this, as it can damage the battery. The exception is aluminum batteries, which are not recommended to be tapped. In conclusion, it is necessary to rinse the radiator with ordinary warm water, dry it and reinstall it.
In a private house, it is not necessary to remove the radiator from the wall, it is enough to disconnect the steam outlet line, purge the system and apply water under pressure to wash the accumulated dirt.
