What tools are bought in vain for repair

Many home tools are bought for no good reason, so they often collect dust on the mezzanine. If there was an idea to make repairs in the apartment, then it is better to buy basic tools, without which not a single interior update can do.

Measuring instruments

Hand tools

Both for overhaul and for cosmetic repairs, rollers of a couple of pieces are needed, a flat and round brush of different sizes and diameters, containers for paint and water, a pencil for marking. For tiles, glasses, special nippers are needed, it is better to borrow a tile cutter or a glass cutter from friends or rent, as they are hardly useful in everyday life.

A set of screwdrivers is required, where there are flat and cross types. As well as a nail puller, pliers, a hammer. A nail puller will come in handy if you need to pick up an old baseboard. Sawing tools are also needed: a hacksaw, file or saw.

Plastering work

Almost any repair requires plastering or puttying the walls, so you can not do without trowels and spatulas. The first solution is thrown on the wall, the second is leveled. Also, when working with a screed, you will need a grater. For sanding a dry wall, sandpaper of different calibers is required.

Power tools

Repair is always accompanied by electrical work, so there should be a drill in place that helps quickly and efficiently roll fasteners. For faster cutting, a jigsaw is required.

What tools should not be taken

Superfluous when working will be universal tool kits, which are usually done poorly and are not suitable for the simplest actions, and also quickly break down. The paint sprayer, which at home is replaced by manual work, will be useless.

Any multifunctional tools quickly fail and contain options that are not needed for ordinary repairs. The use of a hammer drill will be optional, the work of which in most cases can be performed by a drill with a harder drill.

Also, for home use, do not buy a nailing gun, because it is easier to hammer a couple of nails with a hammer. It is not necessary to purchase a grinder or circular saw.
