Currently, LED light sources are ubiquitous, but are they so good? Everything is relative. For example, many of the advantages of such lamps are not confirmed in practice: the service life is not full compared to the declared one, the brightness level drops already in the first year of use. Are there any better alternatives?

Induction lamps
Induction lamps are an advanced analogue of fluorescent light. They do not have glow electrodes, which is the main difference. The glow is realized due to electromagnetic induction and gas, which fills the internal space.

The high-frequency magnetic field generated inside ionizes the gas mixture. This process generates ultraviolet light, which the phosphor converts into visible light.
Benefits:
- About 18 years of continuous work;
- The efficiency is 0.9;
- The intensity of light particles and flux at the end of their life is reduced by only 15%;
- The warranty period is 5 years, while LEDs have 3 years;
- The price is three times lower compared to LEDs of the same power;
- The light emitted by such lamps is the most comfortable for reading and working at a computer. It is adapted to the human eye, is more natural;
- Low lamp heating during operation, up to a maximum of 60 degrees. The lamp can work outdoors at temperatures from -40 to +60;
- The brightness of the induction lamp varies from 30 to 100% by means of a dimmer. The light intensity of LED sources is not subject to change;
- Induction lamps are not subject to breakdowns due to power surges.

Lamp specifications
There are two types of induction lamps: with external and internal induction. In the first case, the coil is located around the tube, and in the second inside with the core. There are lamps with internal ballast, as well as instances requiring its installation.

Such light sources can be a great alternative to LEDs in the home or at the factory. At the moment, power is produced - 15, 20, 40, 80, 120, 150, 200, 300 and 500 watts. There are lamps suitable for standard socles, as well as ring varieties that are convenient to use when working in photo and video.

Due to the lack of electrodes, the glass of the lamp is uniformly loaded from a temperature point of view. The shell during continuous use does not crack as it occurs around the electrodes in fluorescent lamps.
