Two-room Khrushchev is one of the most common apartments on the secondary housing market. Unfortunately, it has all the shortcomings that other apartments of that period of construction have: irrational arrangement of rooms, small area, modest quadrature of the kitchen and many others.
Rearrangement of some walls of course will not allow to increase the total area, but it will help to significantly increase the level of comfort and it is more advisable to redistribute square meters.

In the case of a two-room Khrushchev, removing its extra walls, you can get a chic one-room apartment. As a rule, in this type of apartment the rooms are located in two variations: one after the other or one along the other. Both this and the other arrangement allows you to tear down the interior wall, forming a spacious hall. If you correctly distribute all the furniture in the resulting room, then its open spaces will be able to impress anyone.

Unfortunately, this option is not suitable for everyone. If the family is large or has children, then it is better to look at the alternative method, which involves combining the hall with the kitchen.

The meager quadrature of the kitchen in Khrushchev does not allow to place there not only a large number of people, but also all the necessary household appliances. Partially or completely removing the entire wall, both the kitchen and the hall will become much more spacious. If the resulting space is properly zoned, the result can be a functional and comfortable interior.

Equipping a converted apartment with a bar counter, you can achieve the conditional separation of the interior space. This will give originality, and eliminate the need to install a bulky dining table.

The present balcony can also be used to expand the room area. In the layout of the kitchen studio, it can become both a continuation of the living room, and part of the kitchen. By removing the wall, the balcony has every chance of becoming an excellent dining area. The only feature will be the need for additional insulation.

Regardless of the chosen method of redevelopment, it is always important to remember that the mandatory areas for any apartment, regardless of its area, are: a resting place, a bedroom and a kitchen. If you adhere to this principle, then even Khrushchev in a five-story building will become a comfortable apartment for living.
