How to make a bath hotter

During the construction of many baths, gross errors are made, which make its further use uncomfortable. The most serious disadvantage of an unsuccessful bath is the incorrect location of the stove. In most cases, the firebox is in the steam room, so to throw firewood there, you need to open the firebox door, and at the same time smoke enters the steam room. In this case, for normal heating of the bath, it takes from 3 to 4 hours from the moment of kindling. To upgrade the steam room, you first need to raise the ceiling as high as possible, you also need to move the stove.

To raise the ceiling, do the following. Remove the old ceiling. Then lay out a beam 100x200 mm in size and then, using it as a base, erect a new higher ceiling. A significant role in the retention of heat is played by the thermal insulation of the ceiling. For this purpose, you can use glassine, on top of which clay is poured, mixed with sawdust. It is advisable to do this not only in the bathhouse itself, but also in the dressing room.

The transfer of the furnace involves the demolition of the old stove, with the exception of the base, and the installation of new, more modern, efficient equipment on it. The furnace must be positioned so that it looks into the dressing room. When disassembling an old furnace, you need to be as careful as possible, because whole heat-resistant bricks can be used to build a partition between the steam room and the dressing room. If all this is done correctly, then in the future it will take no more than an hour to heat up.

As practice shows, the old brick stove is perfectly replaced by the Vesuvius metal stove. In addition to it, it is necessary to purchase stones, a pipe and a stainless steel tank, which is mounted on the pipe. You can put it on the foundation from the old furnace, unfolding, of course, the firebox in the dressing room. At the same time, it is not worth wrapping the firebox very tightly around. To better heat the room, you can leave a small gap of about 10 cm to the left, right and top of the furnace. And so that the steam from the new heater goes hot and light enough, you need to water only hot stones. If the heater is open, then it will cool down quite quickly. If you pour water on cooled stones, the steam will turn out to be heavy, and it will be difficult to breathe in the bathhouse.
